The six will get a vascume leak to the crankcase. You can find it by emoveing the PVC vale and stopping up the hole it fits into in the valve cover and then theirs an air breather hose connected to the other cvalve cover take the hose off and stop it up too ( a rag or a thumb just temporany ) and run the engine and see if it straightens out. If it does even some, you need to change the intake manifold gasket. While putting one on be careful not to overtighten the bolts as the gasket can break and your right back where you started from. 13 in pounds is'nt much.
If you have a V6 then you might suspect a leaking intake manifold gasket, a common problem. Has your coolant level been dropping lately? If so then the coolant may be entering some of the cylinders and then shorting accross the sparkplugs. Youtube has lots of videos on how to change the intake manifold gaskets.
On the other hand you may have clogged injectors or a leaking fuel pressure regulator
