Position the vehicle with the front wheels in a straight ahead position.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Disconnect the positive battery cable.

Wait at least ten minutes for the air bag back-up power supply to drain before continuing.

Remove the driver's side lower instrument panel cover. On 1993-94 vehicles, remove the cover screw, then pull out on the cover to release the clips. On 1995 vehicles, remove the five cover screws, then pull out on the cover to release the clips.

Remove the four driver's side lower instrument panel reinforcement bolts and remove the lower reinforcement.

Remove the ignition switch electrical connector bolt and disconnect the connector.

Remove the two ignition switch screws.

Remove the ignition switch from the steering column.
