If your car has 2 fans one should come on when you turn the A/C on, it should have Relay associated with each fan. The other fan will come on when engine reaches operating temperature. If the Freon pressure is low the low pressure switch could be taking it out.( Not likely but it happened to me with a Cobalt once. This may seem odd but if your alternator is putting out correct voltage, the computer could try to conserve power and be shutting it down. I lost A/C and steering assist and interior lights.) The compressor/clutch could be going bad. Belt may not be adjusted right but normally you will hear it.

that a hard one to answer. its depends on were you take it. prises very from state to state.like were i work hr labbor rate is 55.00 hr thats in maine . ill say if you take it to a dealer you may pay $300.00 to $400.00 in part and labor.a louco garge would proubly charge $150.00 to $250.00 .but byeing parts for nissan can cost a lot. ask people around you for a good mec. ok have a good day
