Key less entry will not lock or unlock doors. I think the battery in the key is ok because when I try to lock or unlock the interior lights come on and the back lights blink like usual. And when I use the key to open locks only the drivers side opens. Also the vacuum for the doors do not close doors. Cannot find the fuse that corresponds to these problems.

The fuse is under the rear seat on the passenger side and the fuse chart should be with the tools above the spare tire in the trunk. You can pop off the cover with the ambience light to see the fuses. If you find the fuse chart look up central locking. Let me know what you find and I will try to help further if i can.

Interior lights flashing and door locks, locking and unlocking when truck is turned off

Somewhere in the wiring they are grounding out and I suspect the keyless entry because it's the interior lights and locks at the same time when you use the keypad it lights up and the interior lights come on and the door locks open and close using it so open the drivers door or if you see that those key pad buttons have holes in them from using a key to punch in the numbers there's water inside and it's shorting out the wires

My alarm goes off every time I unlock the doors with the key, Why

Because it needs to be deactivated by the remote control first the alarm thinks a theft is in progress when you you use your key it's only turning the cylinder it doesn't deactivate the alarm the key is mechanically unlocking the door lock at the back of the door where you close it and it locks on the door post attached to the frame the alarm is electronic and works off the interior lights once that light goes on it activates so when you open the door it happens completely normal operations if you have keyless entry it is connected to the alarm and it will not sound it but just the key will ok Heidi your fine no problems here have a great day and relax good luck stephen

2011 Ford Fiesta 5 speed manual base model no key fob ONLY drivers side door lock w key. Mechanism in drivers side door lock not catching not working will not lock or unlock. Electronics inside at console...

LOCKING AND UNLOCKING
You can use the power door lock control or the remote control to lock and unlock your doors and tailgate.See Tailgate Lock.
Power Door Locks
The power door lock control is on the driver and front passenger door panels.

AUnlock.
BLock. Remote Control
You can use the remote control at any time your vehicle is not running.
Unlocking the Vehicle (Two-Stage Unlock)
Press the button to unlock the driver door. Press the button again within three seconds to unlock all doors. The direction indicators flash. The direction indicators flash twice to confirm the change. The unlocking mode applies to the remote control, keyless entry keypad and intelligent access.
Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control for four seconds to disable or enable two-stage unlocking. Disabling two-stage unlocking allows your entire vehicle to unlock with one press of the button.
Intelligent access at the driver door unlocks your entire vehicle when you disable two-stage unlocking.
Locking the Vehicle
Press the button to lock all doors. The direction indicators flash.
Press the button again within three seconds to confirm that all the doors are closed. The doors lock again, the horn sounds and the direction indicators flash if all the doors are closed.
Mislock
If any door is open, or if the hood is open on vehicles with an anti-theft alarm or remote start, the horn sounds twice and the direction indicators do not flash.
Activating Intelligent Access
General Information
You can unlock and lock the vehicle without taking the keys out of your pocket or purse when your intelligent access key is within 3 ft (1 m) of your vehicle. Intelligent access uses a sensor on the back of the door handle for unlocking and a separate sensor on the face of each door handle for locking.
The system does not function if:
  • Your vehicle battery has no charge.
  • The key battery has no charge.
  • The key frequencies are jammed.
Note: The system may not function if the key is close to metal objects or electronic devices, for example keys or a cell phone.
Note: If the system does not function, use the key blade to lock and unlock your vehicle. See Remote Control.
Unlocking Using Intelligent Access
With your intelligent access key within 3 ft (1 m) of your vehicle, touch the unlock sensor on the back of the door handle for a brief period and then pull on the door handle to unlock, being careful to not touch the lock sensor at the same time or pulling the door handle too quickly. The intelligent access system requires a brief delay to authenticate your intelligent access key fob.
Locking Using Intelligent Access
With your intelligent access key within 3 ft (1 m) of your vehicle, touch the outer door handle lock sensor for approximately one second to lock, being careful to not touch the unlock sensor on the back of the door handle at the same time. After locking, you can immediately pull on the door handle to confirm locking occurred without inadvertently unlocking.
Note: Do not use the outside door handle as a roof cargo strap.
At the Electronic Tailgate (If Equipped)
Press the exterior tailgate release button inside of the tailgate handle. The tailgate unlocks and opens. See Electronic Tailgate.
Smart Unlock
This feature helps to prevent you from locking your intelligent access key inside your vehicle's passenger compartment or rear cargo area.
If you leave your key in the ignition, when you open the driver door and lock your vehicle with the power door lock control, the doors lock then unlock.
You can still lock your vehicle with the key in the ignition by:
  • Using the manual lock on the inside of the door.
  • Locking the driver door with a key.
  • Using the keyless entry keypad.
  • Using the lock button on the remote control.
Smart Unlocks for Intelligent Access Keys
This feature helps to prevent you from locking your intelligent access key inside your vehicle's passenger compartment or rear cargo area.
When you lock your vehicle using the power door lock control (with the door open, vehicle in park and ignition off), your vehicle searches for an intelligent access key in the passenger compartment after you close the door. If your vehicle finds a key, all of the doors immediately unlock.
In order to override the smart unlock feature and intentionally lock the intelligent access key inside your vehicle, you can lock your vehicle after all doors are closed by using the keyless entry keypad, pressing the lock button on another intelligent access key or touching the locking area on the handle with another intelligent access key in your hand.
When you open one of the front doors and lock your vehicle using the power door lock control, all doors lock then unlock if the ignition is on.
Autolock
Autolock locks all the doors when:
  • All doors are closed.
  • The ignition is on.
  • You shift into any gear putting your vehicle in motion.
  • Your vehicle reaches a speed greater than 12 mph (20 km/h).
Autolock repeats when:
  • You open then close any door while the ignition is on and your vehicle speed is 9 mph (15 km/h) or lower.
  • Your vehicle reaches a speed greater than 12 mph (20 km/h).
Autounlock
Autounlock unlocks all the doors when:
  • The ignition is on, all the doors are closed, and your vehicle has been moving at a speed greater than 12 mph (20 km/h).
  • Your vehicle comes to a stop and you switch the ignition off or to the accessory position.
  • You open the driver door within 10 minutes of switching the ignition off or to accessory.
Note: The doors do not autounlock if you electronically lock your vehicle after you switch the ignition off and before you open the driver door.
Enabling or Disabling Autounlock
You can enable or disable the autounlock feature in the information display or an authorized dealer can do it for you. See General Information.
Illuminated Entry
The interior lamps and select exterior lamps illuminate when you unlock the doors with the remote entry system.
The illuminated entry system turns off the lights if:
  • The ignition is on.
  • You press the remote control lock button.
  • After 25 seconds of illumination.
The dome lamp does not turn on if the control is set to the off position.
The lights do not turn off if:
  • You switch them on with the dimmer control.
  • Any door is open.
Battery Saver
The battery saver turns off the interior lamps 30 minutes after you switch off the ignition if a door is open and the dome lamp switch is on. It turns off the interior lamps after 10 minutes if the dome lamp switch is off.
Accessory Mode Battery Saver for Intelligent Access Keys (If Equipped)
If you leave the ignition on after leaving your vehicle, it turns off 15 minutes after you close all of the doors.

How to program my new control remote to my Honda passport 2000

Try this please!
'98 - '02 Isuzu Rodeo and Trooper and Honda Passport(with factory keyless entry) Instructions for programming. 1. Get in car and make sure all doors are unlocked. 2. Open driver's door and leave open. 3. Put key in ignition. 4. Turn key to 'on position' (dash lights on, but do not start) and back to 'off position' 3 times in 5 seconds or less. (you must turn the key very fast) 5. Close and open driver's door 2 times in 5 seconds or less. 6. Turn key to 'on position' and back to 'off position' 5 times in 5 seconds or less. (turn key very fast) 7. Close and open driver's door the doors should lock and unlock twice after this happens push the lock or unlock button on the remote, doors will lock and unlock. Push the lock or unlock button a second time and doors will lock and unlock again. You are finished! The above sequence erases all previous codes and adds the new code as #1. If you are adding a second remote, you should follow the same sequence with the exception of step 6; instead of turning the key to the 'on position' and back to the 'off position' 5 times in 5 seconds or less, do it 3 times in 5 seconds or less and then continue to step 7. ***Remember to turn the key to the on and off position very fast. This works! Follow directions EXACTLY. I had to try 3-4 times before getting it to work. I failed to go exactly by the instructions the first few times.

1999 porsche 996 replaced key fob battery disconnected battery now trunk releses are locked and cant access battery. How do you open frt trunk manually

Assuming the car battery is ok (if not, buy a male to male cigarette lighter at the auto store and connect to another car until charged enough to unlock the doors...but don't try to crank the ignition!). The trunks won't open if the battery went dead with the alarm set because arming the alarm physically locks the releases.

Sounds like the key code is switched off because you replaced the key fob battery. Try unlocking the car manual with the key in the door lock. Then switch the ignition on to reactive the keyless entry. If this does not work, you might also try pressing the fob unlock button with the key in the door lock until the dash led flashes.

Need to reset the key fob

Sit in the driver's seat
Close all vehicle doors; ignition key should NOT be in the ignition, and ignition should be OFF.
Press and hold UNLOCK on your driver's door lock switch, insert and remove your ignition key TWICE, and insert the key in the ignition; this time LEAVE IT. DO NOT TURN THE KEY!!
LET GO OF THE DOOR SWITCH; listen for 3 dings after which, with the key still in the ignition, you will press and hold both LOCK and UNLOCK AT THE SAME TIME on your transmitter for 12 seconds. or until you hear 2 DINGS which indicate a newly programmed transmitter.

If you wish to use more the one transmitter (4 MAX), press and hold lock and unlock just as the first transmitter.

PULLING OUT THE IGNITION KEY ends this procedure :-) !

Fuse or what

Your multifunction switch on the steering column controls your exterior lights. The GEM module controls the interior lights and other stuff. If bad, it would not blow fuses. WHich fuse blows?
Your Ford dealer might be familiar with this issue, so call the service dept and ask them and get a quote. It may be wiring.
reoprt back.

  • The high beams are inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Multifunction switch.
  • Go To Pinpoint Test C .

--------------------------------------------------------------
Principles of Operation
Generic Electronic Module (GEM) The generic electronic module (GEM) receives inputs from the following:
  • door ajar switches
  • liftgate ajar switch (wagon)
  • liftgate glass switch (wagon)
  • headlamp switch
  • keyless entry keypad switches
  • the powertrain control module (PCM) (vehicle speed signal)
  • ignition switch
  • remote keyless entry transmitter
The GEM uses these inputs to control the output to the battery saver relay and interior lamp relay. Both relays are integral to the central junction box (CJB) and cannot be accessed directly.
Interior Lighting Systems The GEM grounds the battery saver relay and interior lamp relay coils when any door ajar switch or the headlamp switch is closed. The interior lamp relay then supplies power to the interior lamp circuit. Vehicle speed must be less than 15 kph (9 mph) for the GEM to ground the interior lamp relay. The interior lamps will remain illuminated for a period of up to 25 seconds after all doors are closed or until the ignition is switched from the OFF position, or the GEM receives a vehicle speed signal. Actuating the interior lights from the headlamp switch will operate at any time.
Illuminated Entry Illuminated entry is activated when a keyless entry keypad switch provides ground on the GEM input or when the GEM receives an unlock signal from the remote keyless entry key fob. The GEM then provides ground to the battery saver and interior lamp relay coils. Illuminated entry is deactivated when the GEM receives a lock signal from the remote keyless entry key fob or if the GEM receives ground inputs from the keyless entry keypad switch lock code. Illuminated entry will also be deactivated when the GEM receives input voltage from the ignition switch.
Battery Saver The battery saver is activated when the GEM is not receiving voltage input from the ignition switch (off position). The GEM will then provide ground to the battery saver relay coil for a maximum of 30 minutes depending on the state of the interior lamp switch inputs to the GEM. The energized battery saver relay switches voltage to the demand lamp circuit and the interior lamp relay coil. After time-out, the GEM removes ground to the battery saver relay disabling the demand lamp circuit.
Puddle Lamps The puddle lamp relay operates reverse from the battery saver relay and the interior lamp relay. The puddle lamp relay coil receives voltage when the ignition switch is in the START or RUN position, which disables the circuit to the puddle lamps.
Inspection and Verification
  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
