check the power in your battery and the output of your alternator. should read 14.3 and battery 12 volts check the battery both before and after you try to start it.
It is likely the fuel pump safety switch, search for a solution online but, some0most cars this happens to after an accedent for obvious reasons. Probably not a big deal, the dealer of a shop may even be able to help over the phone or even maybe just disconnect the neg. battery terminal and this may reset it. Good Luck
check your connections. turn the key to the on position and leave it sit for a minute or so then turn it off and try again. could be a security key issue. try a different key if you have one. you could also have a bad starter if none of this helps
HI THERE I HAVE A JAGUAR XJ8 1998 AND I AM AWARE OF AN INERTIA SWITCH WHICH CUTS OFF THE FUEL SUPPLY TO THE ENGINE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR BUMP I HAVE NEVER USED THIS MYSELF BUT IT IS IN THE DRIVERS FOOTWELL BEHIND THE FASCIA COVER ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE.HOPE THIS HAS BEEN HELPFULL.
Inertia switch located on the passengers side (under the dash). You may need to remove a small door to get access to it. If you have not been in an accident, then it was probably tripped accidentally. Simply press the button, and it will reset. This should get your car running again. Good Luck!
How much damage did you do when you hit the curb? Did you go over the curb and bottom out?
