Sounds like you have a cold start problem. With the engine check the oxygen sensor and check the temperature sensor. That might help to fix the problem. Also check all the spark plugs.

Have you had the transmission control module (called the TCM) checked for fault codes? Do this first and then have a trained ****** tech diagnose the resulting codes received if any,. if not codes then you may have a failed transmission or a defective TCM
