I have a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3.3 Liter 6 Cylinder. I am getting a 6 cylinder misfire. The van is running sluggish when I apply the gas on take off, and it is shaking a little underneath the hood. I just had the transmission replaced a week ago. I am trying to prevent getting ripped off. what shall I do to try to remedy this problem?

Replace spark plug and wire and if it has separate coil for the cylinder, change it.

Next to the battery & mount onto the upper frame at the front of the car an air filter housing with 2 self tapping bolts. Remove these and disconnect serveral hoses and lift back, Below this is the air filter housing itself. clips are on the side slip off, and replace filter.

You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.

Ignition miss, 1998 plymouth voyager, 3.3 liter

Just to clarify, the code is probably 303 which means the computer saw a drop in RPM for that cylinder.
The problem could be ignition such as a spark plug or wire, or the injector, or a lack of compression on that cylinder.

I have a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE with a 3.3 liter V6 Engine. It hasn't been firing on the 6th and 3rd spark plugs, and is only running off of 4 of them. I was told to replace the camshaft position...

The coil pack unit's circuit #3 drives plugs #3 and #6 directly from the PCM. If the cam sensor was defective, it should not fire any plugs. Suspect bad wiring from the PCM to the coil pack, the PCM unit itself, or a segment of the camshaft position sensor surface has lost magnetism causing missing signal to the PCM. An oscilloscope is the best test instrument for chasing down a missing pulse problem. The missing timing signal also explains why the PCM would report a 'bad camshaft sensor'. Hope this helps!
