Check for a fuseable link in the wire going from the battery to the starter , if its bad you'll get clicking , check the relay for the starter,, locate where the clicking is coming from, and check that relay

Have you checked the heavy current cable between the battery and the starter. Hope that is your problem.

Starter???

more than likely it is if you have a fully charged battery in the car, you can have it checked on the car or take it off and bring it to the parts store and they can check it on a machine

95 Mazda 626 won't start Y?

sounds like the starter, i dont think its siezed the motor in that short distance. try and hit the starter with a hammer or something with someone turning the key at the same time, it should start with acouple trys. if it does than u need a new starter.

New alternator new battery new ignition wire still won't crank just a clicking noise but will crank if it is jumped off. 1998 mazda 626

This is almost certainly a bad starter/solenoid sticking. If you hear the click sound hit the solenoid(NOT the electrical connection!!) on the starter several times with a hammer. If it starts you definitely need a starter. This trick will only work for a few days - so replace that starter.(disconnect battery before replacing it !)

Bendix wont engage flywheel

if its clicking then the solenoid is going. try doing a starter draw test. hook a meter to the battery on dc volts. attempt to star. if voltage drops below 9 volts the its the starter. if it doesnt move much at all then its the solenoid. but i think its the starter cause the solenoid is clicking
