it might be what I recently found out about mine. take it to an auto parts store and run a diagnostics test and if a code p0505 comes up then it would be your Idle Air control motor circuits
replace the non firing coil, very common. also replace the spark plugs and wires. I dont have a wiring diagram here at home to verify which wires are which, but if one coil is firing, they both have power.

The pivot bolt is the long bolt that holds the alternator to the frame.
If you loosen it, the alternator can "swing" with the pivot bolt as its .... well, pivot, or swing center.
The long bolt must be removed completely in order to remove the alternator.
Be sure to doisconnect the negative cable from your battery.
