I have a 2005 Honda Accord. The key is stuck in the ignition. I tried moving the steering wheel, checking the park shift , putting my foot on the brake. Nothing seems to work. Do you have any suggestions?
There a several recalls that deal with this problem, it seems that due to a defective part in the ignition interlock system at times the key not be removed from the ignition, it appears the issue is corrected by installing a new lock cylinder, to read the full text of recalls on this issue go to link listed below.

I have a 2003 accord and I couldn't get the key out. I had inadvertently pulled up the parking brake and forgot to put the car in park. Once I noticed what I had done, I put it in park and the key came right out!:)
Try graphite...you can buy it powdered but it is also what makes up a pencil's 'lead'. You need to squish some in between the key and the lock it's in. Then wiggle the key as much as you can to work the graphite in (not too hard or the key will break!). If the problem is a stuck tumbler the graphite will unstick it.

I am able to start & shift from Park to drive, full battery, original key...but will not turn off when trying to completely turn it left.
key stuck in ignition
My 2002 Honda Civic automatic is completely immobilized. No lights etc., the gear lever won't move and the foot brake won't move. Tried usual key and spare key, but no difference. Any ideas?
I used the slide out key from the remote in the ignition. It is stuck in there and won't seem to release. Any ideas or suggestions.
