I have the same vehicle with the same exact problem. i have replaced all of the same parts and then some, including fuel injectors. Sometimes the vehicle will run very well cold with what seems like full power, other times it feels like it is stumbling or misfiring. These symptoms generally occur after the vehicle is watm and has been idling.
You need to get the codes read to give you more of an answer. But it sounds like either a EGR or coil getting hot and overheating or possibly bad plugs. So many thigs can do that but I would start with the cheapest (plugs). Some EGR's can be checked if it's vacume style if you can reach the diaphram underneath and push up to see if it is stuck. It should move freely and not be hard like a rock.
Hi jhawkins3 thnks for your suggestion the code is P0300 "Random Misfire Detected" and I already changed all plugs, the EGR, fuel filter, PVC, air filter, cheked coils with a multimeter, all get OK and my next is the "Idle Air Control Module" and probably the "Ignition Control Module". This is crazy sometimes works well, and when happens just off the engine restart and everything backs to normal......
Possible the intake gasket is bad. . When it does this do you shut off the vehicle and restart right away and it's OK , or do you wait and keep trying until it starts fine? I must admit this is a hard one! And it will take time to find it. A p0300 can be many of things as you know. Do you try this thing's when it's doing this?

Hi there! When happens I restart right away, in very rare I had to did twice. Im backing to think again in the fuel pump, let me tell you that I brough this 97 rodeo whos owner kept for 4 years broken in his driveway, found out the fuel pump was the problem, so I don't know if this problem started at that time or before. We had thinking the pump is OK however some advisors suggest to change it again, çause in one oacassion on another rodeo they had to repleced four times until work properly. Thnks for your time and advise. If you have any other idea please let me know I'll be thankful.
