2001 Siverado: stopped truck and went to start back up, it would not start. Totally dead but the
lights
work and doors unlock/lock. Brand new battery.
I do have an alarm and I am wondering if this is the problem.

Probably one of the lock switches, the switch you push or toggle from inside the car to lock or unlock your doors has shorted. Try manipulating those switches until the clicking stops. Replace the effected switch. If the doors automatically lock when the car begins moving above a certain speed, it could be that relay has shorted.
Its you antenna module above your headliner. It controlls your remote for keyless entry as well as your am/fm reception via an amplifier. GM part number is 12233252 for updated and revised version around $100 bucks online.
