Hi would someone please post an accurate picture of the 97 nissan maxima egr solenoid because I can't find it, also please post a picture of the egr back pressure transducer cause I think I'm getting them mixed up, if you can't find the picutres please be specific to tell me the locations please my manual does a horrible job
The Green color solenoid is the EGRC solenoid valve , i had my Nissan Maxima GXE with the code P1400 EGRC solenoid valve but i got brand new one on the car but the code still there can anyone help thank you.
Good dy;
As you are looking in the eng compartment from the front of the vehicle,look for the master cyl booster, the big round thing that is attached to the master cyl on the fire wall. now the EGR value will be just to the left of the booster. you should see three values there one on top the other two below, just like a triangle, the EGR is the bottom right value or the closet one to the boost. Hope this helps please let me know how you make out I'm trying to get a picture for you.
Cheers
Wow what color, ok what I get what you are saying is the location and color of the EGRC-solenoid valve? This solenoid is located almost right under the throttle cam on, the color got me on that one sorry could not tell you most one the ones I see are black. The EGRC-BRT is located at the back of the eng by fire wall. I hope this helps, sorry that I could not tell which color the solenoid is. Good luck.
Cheers
Hi;
To test the EGRC solenoid.
1. turn ignition off, Disconnect EGRC solenoid valve harness connector, Turn ignition on, using a voltmeter, measure voltage between EGRC solenoid valve harness connector terminal No. 2 (RED/YELLOW wire) and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, check for blown fuse No 17 or fault in RED/YELLOW wire. Replace or repair as required. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
2. CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between EGRC solenoid valve harness connector terminal No 1 (BLUE?BLACK wire) and ECM harness connector terminal No 103. If no continuity exists, repair open in BLUE/BLACK wire. If continuity exists, go to next step.
3. CHECK COMPONENTS
Apply battery voltage and ground to terminals No. 1 and 2. With battery voltage applied, air should pass between ports "A" and "B". Air should not pass between ports "A" and "C". With no voltage applied, air should pass between ports "A" and "C". Air should not pass between ports "A" and "B". Replace EGRC valve if airflow is not specified. If airflow is as specified, disconnect and reconnect harness connectors in the circuit and retest system.
Hope this helps you to test the solenoid. Please let me know if this helps.
Cheers
Good Day
