Valve clearance Hi I would be most grateful if you could tell me what are the clearances, in mm, for the inlet & exhaust valves for my suzuki samurai SJ 413. Many thanks Nane M

Valve clearance - EXHAUST mm: 0,25 hot

Valve clearance for mazda 323 1600 f6 engine

323 (BF), 1600 F6
Valve clearance - inlet: 0.30 h mm (hot)
Valve clearance - exhaust: 0.30 h mm (hot)
Compression pressure: 14.5 bar

Procedure of tappet adjustment

make sure engine is warmed up. Put cylinder one at top dead center,remove the valve cover,loosen all adjustment lock nuts,adust intake and exhaust valves on cyl #1 and intake valve on #2 and exhaust valve on #3. now rotate crankshaft 360 degrees clockwise, now adjust intake valves on cyl#3 and cyl #4 and exhaust valves on cyl #2 and cyl #4.now tighten lock nuts and install valve cover. specs are intake valves 25mm clearance and exhaust 28mm clearance, use a feeler gauge,heres a picture to show you where to check clearance.7675a52.gif

Valve tappet adjustment

well, I can see ur message has been here for quite some time. Most probably you got the answer to ur request.
I just did the valve clearance on the engine of my SJ413 that has the 1000cc engine of an SJ410 :
When cold: 0.13mm Intake and 0.18mm Exhaust
Engine sounded well and worked fine after that.
