My 2012 Accent SE all of a sudden wouldn't go over 3000 rpms and put putting at 40 mph. Service dept at dealership said it was a pending code as the computer couldn't understand the problem. The technician pulled the P0 191 fuel pressure rail sensor circuit, cleared codes, checked all pins and connectors. Worked fine but they couldn't find a reason for the pending code and that they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't happen again. My mechanic thought it might be a problem with the computer itself and not any problem with the car. Any suggestions? This car has 450 miles on it and I have had it for 5 days.

Why does my 2012 Ford Escape over 40 mph have a miss. Nothing comes up on my computer to indicate something is wrong. I have had it checked several times at the Ford Dealership but they cannot find

May be due to a defective coil that can be hard to find. Need to find a good tech that knows how to look at OBD2 mode 6 data for misfires. May show up there even if the light hasn't come on yet or set a code.

Throttle stuck on 1996 concorde just suddenly excellarated (800 rpms)

This car has computer controlled automatic idle speed control, the throttle cable is not likely the problem. Have the dealer run a special test to ID problems with this idle speed control system called an "Key on engine running fault code test"

What you describe could have quite a number of causes & solutions. The best advice I can offer you is have it properly diagnoses by a qualified Hyundai Service Technician.

Did the Check Engine Light every come on? If so, find an OBDII scanner and scan the ECU (engine control unit) and let me know what codes you found. Then, maybe, we can take it from there.

It is possible that when you had an oilchange the oil used was 10/40 which is correct for this vehicle BUT i would advocate that a thicker oil is used for this mileage say 20/50.
all cars will use/burn oil and i always ask my customers how much oil they put in from the last service so that i can judge what oil to use.Thin oils (5/30)should only be used for new cars, and even then
keep an eye on oil usage/burn.....
We have all read,in various publications that "using the wrong oil can cause damage"but after 40 years in the trade,i have NEVER had a complaint or any engine damaged by this method of filling
at service.(we had forty bays in my last dealership.)

High RPMs

yes its related to knock sensor because car is running rich in fuel, and car runs of on safe mode, so overdrive will be off. have you and a friend replace it. remove intake assembly, then intake manifold, but first remove your anifreeze from radiator, trust me you want to remove antifreeze! their are brackets by the fire wall to hold down the manifold, thats the hard part is taking it off and putting that on since not to much space to work on it. on the block you'll see the two knock sensors, has 2 wires each, knock sensors cost between 150- 200 a piece, still cheaper than dealership putting it on. also buy some liquid gasket because you will need that. after putting it all back together reset the ecu and you should be fine,
