Lost brakes power whie driving then check gauges light came

The first thing you should do is check the fuses. It's possible that a fuse has blown, causing the lack of power to the dash lights, gas gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and instrument panel lights. If the fuses are all good, then you may need to check the wiring harness for any loose connections or damaged wires. If the wiring is all good, then you may need to replace the instrument cluster.

Have it hooked up to a scanner an checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .

Usually the battery warning light means the alternator is not charging the battery. On some models the battery and brake lights are wired together.

Check to make absolutely sure that the alternator is working, namely, turn on the lights, bright ones, turn on the radio, turn on the heater at full blast, etc, anything that draws power. If the engine badly bogs, or if it suddenly dies, you still have an alternator issue. Alternatively, might take it and have it tested.

Check the charging system, you may have an alternator that is failing after the car warms up.

get a manuel from an auto parts store. in this manuel it will have etm(electrical troubleshooting manuel) it shows the brake lights and wires colors of wires. trace the wire color from the fuse using the diagram. purchase a test light from wal mart to see if your wire has power. if it does there may be a bad connection or component but hte etm shoud show you what components are on the circuit.any questions email me at [email protected]
