If I am correct that vehicle uses a speedo cable that goes from the instrument cluster to the transmission.
If your speedo is not woorking you may have a bad cable or gear which is on the end of the cable and can be accessed by removing cable from tranny which is held in by a bolt and clip.
If your speedo is working but your odometer is not than you have a problem in the cluster itself.
You can have it repaired at a certified speedo shop or replace it with junkyard unit.

Odometer quit working

I have a 96 Ford Explorer Sport and I noticed that the odometer and the Trip meter had stopped working. I pushed the Trip meter to 0 it out. When to town and I had not went even one mile. I had indeed went 22 miles. What caused it to stop?

Speedometer works fine but no odometer or trip

You need to replace the VSS or vehicle speed sensor. Located on LH, lefthand rear of transmission.

Odometer/trip odometer stopped working.

There is a gear that breaks inside the speedometer causing the odometer and trip odometer to be inop. There are stores online that sell just the gear . If you are mechanically inclined try that. If not have a qualified technician install it.

Just yesterday all guages on dash stop working

Hi,
I would do a fuse check on this one. Your owner's manual should direct you to the fuse panel locations.
Hopefully it's an easy fix for you. Good luck!

The dashboard

You may have a couple separate concerns. The fuel gauge if it is on empty may have a hole in the float. The speedometer odometer and trip meter is probably a broken gear in the speedo assembly. If the speedometer itself works it is getting a signal from the speed sensor.

1996 ford ranger odometer / trip stopped working

Since your speedometers work, the problem is in the gearing to the trip and mileage odometers. Simple problem, major pain to fix but, remove instrument cluster - you'll have to remove speedo cable to get it out. Use the old Mark I eyeball to check for broken parts. Might even have to drop steering column - disconnect air bag first!

Fuel guage and Temperature guage

My 06 ranger is a 4 cyl model and I also am looking for a wiring diagram. Have you checked bulkhead connectors on the firewall for security, corrosion etc.? If you find the schematic on line please post the link. Good luck.
