Just bought 02 GC sport, no manual, what type of oil should I use, it's 1 qt. low?

sometimes if you use 87 in your car it rattle try a higher one and if it still rattles could be the valves

The new oil has better viscosity and raises the pressure. That low of mileage it has tight clearances .

Low oil pressure doen't mean low in oil, it means low in pressure. Dump one quart oil and add one quart of RISLONE for oil.

Well usually i would try to help with the problems but being that your car is brand new and all i think you should push to get into another car.


As i worked at bmw manufacturing it sounds like a friday car sounds crazy but im very serious no new car should leak burn or leak that much oil and be blowing fuses like that its a lemon.

start reviewing your your local lemon laws i would hate to see you stuck with something that's just always going to be a problem.

needs head work like valve job

you have low oil pressure, so adding oil will not cure the light, if the engine is knocking u have damaged the engine bearings and it will need to be torn down and rebuilt.

The oil light means you have low oil pressure but not necessarily low oil.
Low oil pressure can lead to serious engine problems and should be fixed right away.

most only take 5 qt put in 4 and check the dip stick if it is on full run the engine for a min and let it stand for a bit recheck and add what you need to full mark

you might need new valve guide seals. only a trained professional show attempt.
