The Freon goes into the "suction" hose/pipe assembly. There will be a service port on this hose. The low side (blue) hose of the manifold gauge set gets connected to this fitting. The suction hose can be identified by it's larger diameter (compared to the discharge and liquid hoses). The suction hose will run from the compressor across the top of the radiator (slightly behind the radiator), then back towards the firewall on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. The service port is generally closer to the firewall, than to the compressor.

all cars. the first test (old post ) is 1: is the compressor clutch energized (locked) and compressor spinning at full speed? that is the 1st. once we have that, we move to the next test. its not hard, but is tedious and you need a voltmeter. if no up to having a meter, or the tedium , say so. if you want pure wild gussing ,say so..
my wild guess, (will be wrong 99% time) low freon. (based on age (old)
you need to charge your ac system on the low side ac line fitting. the connection will be the smaller one of the two fittings. is your system r12 or r134a?
your going to have to put freon where you always put it in 2 times a month if that doesn't work your going to have to get a new air conditioning unit there is one more try shutting the flaps on the passenger seat then it will get cooler on your side
Hi, my best advise is to have your air check for freon leaks ,low freon causes the compresor cluth to stop working ,this can cause the air to blow hot .......
