2000 bmw e46 325cise

Hi i wonder if you can help me last week i ran out of fuel and since then my warning light has been on the one in the center of the dash with a triangle around it, i have tried using red ex but hasn't solved it i have also lost alot of power and now today alone it hasn't started 3 time were as before it used to start straight away if you could help i would be very greatfull

    hi cando1 and thanks so would a new fuel pump sort that all out or will i need to do anything else to it

Hi, you should run a fuel presure test ,when a vehicle run out of fuel,the fuel pump keps runing dry ,then if you try to start the car it runs dry and that can damage the fuel pump ,....

    Hi this should solve the problem ,but run the test first to be completly sure that the pump is damaged,.......

are you hearing the fuel pump. do you have fuel pressure there is a Schrader valve on the fuel rail, like a tire valve, you can press this.down to see if you are getting fuel up to.the.fuel rail if you have a fuel pressure gauge you could hook up and crank the engine to see if you are getting fuel and presur

Last month, my wife complained of high gas usage as well. I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to change the air filter the last time I did the oil change. It had been over 5 months since I'd put a new one in. So, we got a new air filter, and monitored the usage, and it was back to normal again. Maybe try this?

Help. 2000 Avalon Toyota upon starting, "sometimes" has sputtering and stalling. I will give it gas, and wait until warned up. Or, I will drive in 2nd gear so the RPMs will go up. Sometimes, car works...
  1. toyota has an idle air valve
  2. locate the valve on the throttle body
  3. unplug and remove it as an assembly
  4. off the car it can be disassembled into 2 pieces
  5. one has the wiring connection
  6. the other is the air valve shuttle
  7. clean the shuttle and actuate the valve manually until it moves freely.
  8. install and retest

hi the sensers work of voltage drop so my first question would be have you replaced any bulbs on your car they may have a different ampere rating which will give the senser a reading thats out of its tolerance setting and the light will come on or have you had any lights fitted same applies or could be a faulty senser yates210456
