that sounds like fan switch you didn,t say what year some are vacuum operated will require finding connection under dash, if electrical just change switch
if the lower fan speeds dont work but the fastest speed does the heater fan resistor block needs replacing. If the highest fan speed doesnt work leave it on there and check for power at heater blower fan, if power is on one wire and the other is an earth the blower motor fan needs replacing. Use a normal globe test light to check this. If no power on any wires to fan go back and check all fuses in car and under bonnet with same test light. If fuses are ok possible open circuit wire to fan.
your fan speed regulator located on your heater core box is bad if its just one or some of the speeds. if the fan does not work at all its either a bad connection to your fan speed regulator or the fan motor has quit. out
Your fan technically only has one speed. The voltage is decreased by the use of a resistor pack to produce the slower fan speeds. If this resistor pack burns out, it will leave you with only the high setting. You can find the resistor pack located under the hood, on the passenger side on top of the fan housing.
