Motor
the evidence presented indicates that the head gasket probably was blown or head/cylinder interface was not flat enough to hold compression and a gasket failure caused the cooling system to drain down into the crankcase.
Clutch
you need a micrometere or vernier caliper to measure how thick they are that how you tell how worn the clutch is. the manual will list the specificational limit (how thin you should allow them to get and how do the basket and innser hub looks like). if they have small teeth on them they are worn.,
Battery
You really don't have to worry about having too big of battery. As long as the voltage is correct the size of the battery makes little difference as long as it is big enough. The electrical parts will only draw the power they need. The battery will not force too much power on to things just because it is big. The big thing to remember is to take the old dead, battery totally out of the system. If you keep the old battery in the bike it will try to suck up the power from the fully charged battery. This can cause the old battery to explode.,,,
Oil
Drain it and put in fresh check for motorhead kracks white means water in engine.,,
Brake pads
- OEM Honda Brake pads. These are the highest recommended pad on the list. They have great stopping power good feel readily available and are reasonably priced. Grade (5). - EBC Green Race. OK for a while not as good as OEM. Grade (2). - Galfer Green's,,,
My bike keeps cutting out
have the battery load tested and the charge circuit checked as it indicates insufficient battery charge to keep the engine running
Battery
Sorry to hear that you have no spark on you bike. Just a quick thought have you measured the battery voltage could your charger have damaged battery. I over charged my battery last year ( would only produce 8V) and had to get a new one along with an Optimax 3 charger so it would not happen again.,,
BIKE WILL NOT START
Remove plug cap from spark plug and unscrew from HT lead. Clean it and put it to one side. Use a set of wire cutters to remove about 1/2 an inch of the HT lead and refit cap. This SHOULD sort it out.
If it was more serious, like the CDI for instance, then it wouldn't spark at all, so thankfully it isn't serious. Hope this helps.
Misfires
The sound and the high fuel consumption are all related. there are many things that might be wrong. it could be the fuel quality the carburettor air filter spark plug or even an elecrtical problem. but since you had the bike serviced but you are still experiencing problems i would try cleaning the spark plug. and when you fit the sparklug back, check wheter the wire going to the sparkplug is in perfect order. then put the bike in neutral, put in on the main stand, start it and check the big wire going to the sparkplug. listen if you can detect any noise in that area. if you hear a tik - tik sound, then there is a elecrtical leak. you should be able to repair that by yourself if not a normal service station would do. however if thats not the problem, then you should bring the bike to another service station,,,
