low power, does it misfire or acts like dragging a 5000 lb dead weight? moved you out of cars to MC bad gas bad fuel flow, filters" clogged, injectors fix fuel flow problems. only cold hints that EFI can't do COLD enrich mode due to bad ECT sensors, coolant ? sensor temp coolant find a way to scan it, not sure how, but some can be.

250 tells my cc, only, the ATV has real name what is it. TRX250???? blown fuse bad wires or connectors kill switch bad ignition switch bad working with no manual or schematic is painful even me. I use a voltmeter and trace the power to all that end to end. has a crank or cam sensor? i see no free manuals not banned for ***** or virus packed. sorry free to find why not just buy the manual and pay $10 and the first hour labor saved pays for the manual 10 times over and call and investment grade book, keeps paying dividends.

It could be a defect in your starter motor causing it to draw too much amperage

Sounds like the battery is flat. Get it on a battery charger. Or bump start it in 2nd gear and give it a good run.

if it stops when you turn the fuel tap off then i think your carburater floats are faulty maybe a hole in them

Something is shorting to earth, and wires rubbing on the frame or another item is usually the cause. This is the wiring diagram for the earlier model and only shows two relays for flasher and starter. Probly a bulb or fuse or bad connect...its 30yr. Buy a clymer shopbook for that model

Question edited for full 'year make model'. Question moved the correct category. It really depends where it is coming from. This is a 1200cc, 4 cylinder car engine in a bike frame. If it is coming from the bottom it is bad news as that is where the crankshaft bearings and connecting rods are. If it disappears when it warms up, all well and good, but not perfect and it will only get worse.. It is more likely coming from the top of the engine because that area pretty much fully drains of oil after turning off, and it is the last to get oil when you start up. Make sure your oil is clean and use full synthetic oil if possible. I would also add some STP Oil Treatment or MolySlip. This is made to lubricate better and stick to surfaces. You can fashion a stethoscope to pinpoint the sound by sticking a piece of 1/4" polythene pipe in you ear and listen to top and bottom end. https://www.google.com/search?q=1984+1200+aspencade%2C+knocking+on+start+up ..

Check for proper adjustment of the clutch.

that takes skill. the manual covers this, RTM yet? the best way is open hose at the highest point coolant paths. the fill until it is leaks there. air floats up hill is the only magic here,Physics but yes a huge pain on some cars with low hoods. buy honda shop manual and read. most cars have chapter on cooling that show the best way. there are other tricks ask

Axle nut is 27mm and the other side is hex head 24mm, this was on a 2002 - it should be the same from 2000 to 2007.
