1980 cb650 c. Power to the plugs. Why no power to the coils?
Possibly 4 things :
1- switch on handle bar is off or bad meaning broken ( open - not making contact) this is a common occurrence.
2- check that you have +12 volts (battery voltage)to one side to your coils with a volt meter when the ignition switch is turned on.
3- remove the wires from the coil and turn the ignition switch on. Check for the +12volts battery power on one side of the coil , you are looking for a shorted coil.
4- remove the coil wires. Using a volt meter set to read ohms on the kw range. Test between the power +12vdc of the coil and a output to the sparkplug. You shoul read ~ 18 kw . A 1ohm or Infinity means the coil is defective. Keeping the meter lead on the +12vdc test the othe ouptput to the other sparkplugs you should get a similar reading. Test between the +12vdc and the - on the coil with the wires removed, you should read around 4 ohms . 1ohm or 20or more is an indication of a bad coil.
Thes are pretty good tests for a coil system in you bike .

Will a 92 1100vt shadow motor bolt up to a 88 1100vt shadow
This leads me to think yes, but I would be fixing the engine you have. Aluminium can be welded, spray coated and reground to fix any damage.

2009 CRF250R. Why is it difficult to start?
The 2009 CRF250R is a very popular bike in the dirt bike market. The CRF250R has become very popular due to its design and features that make it a great value for money dirt bike. It's relatively cheap compared to other brands of dirt bikes, which makes it more affordable for new riders. In terms of ease of use, this model is not as easy to start off with compared to some other models in the market. This is because there are a lot of steps involved in starting off with this model, including checking if your insurance covers you or not. To find out whether your insurance covers you or not, you need to contact your insurer directly so they can check on the coverage that is offered by them and see if it includes the risk that comes along with owning a dirt bike like an electric start system (which isn't covered). Once this has been confirmed, then you can purchase one from any dealer who sells them at an affordable price such as Gearhonest online. If you have further questions regarding this question then please leave us your comments below!

2010 VFR 800. How can I resolve lost key?
No, you can't bypass. The dealership might be able to cut you a key, or you buy a new barrel and keys. If it has an immobilizer, it will need resetting.

Hello, My Honda CBF 125 won't start.
Remove the starter and connect it direct to a battery with no solenoid. If it spins, the problem is the solenoid or the wiring to it.

Poor downshifting when bike is hot. no problems at all when the bike is cold.
A bad spring, bent rod, etc, can cause poor shifting. Dirt or debris may be jamming it. If the shifter mechanism is o.k. then you might have a transmission fork bent and will need to get inside the tranny.
An oil change smooths out the shifting too. Consider one if you don't have a recent one
