Start button was stuck and now button wont start the honda shadow vlx
Sounds more like the battery may be dead... take the battery to O'Reilly's or Autozone and check the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).. amperage is what starts your bike.. not voltage.. then see what happens...Next, its time to trace voltage.. make sure you are getting voltage from the battery to the solenoid.. then from the solenoid to the starter,,
Bike won't turn on after battery has been replaced
Hey, just because the battery sparks DOES NOT mean the battery is good...THE ONLY was to tell is to have the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) checked..a battery company, Oreilly's, Autozone..etc.. can check it...

Hi usually on the left hand side under side cover it is metal with cooling fins on it. If its not there follow the generator wires (3yellow) these plug into it. Regards Jim...
Engine running. headlights working but no turn signals or rear fender lights working
For all the rear lights ( including indicators) not to function it sounds like an earth return ( common negative) wire has broken. If you can access the wiring check to see if there is a common wire connected to both indicators and tail light. Another possible answer is that there is a multi-plug feeding all the rear end and it has either corroded or been disconnected. Hope this helps.
Adjust the idle on a 750 Honda motorcycle
Depends on the age of the machine, if its around the 70/80's there is usually a knob on a long stem under the carbs. Rotating this adjusts the position of the throttle stop and therefore will speed up or slow down the idle.
