Husaberg (FE 501-03)Stator problem
I have never heard of a stator preventing a motorcycle from starting. You need a professional, local, second opinion before you plunk down any bucks.
Unless that is, are you calling a magneto a stator? Does your motorcycle have a battery? If it has a battery, you probably do not have a magneto.
Throttle
and had the bike souped for it. Anyway the throttle is SUPER touchy.. You breath on it and it takes off.. Because of this I ended up dumpin it 30 min after I got on..haha... My question is is there a way to stiffen up the throttle so that i have to crank the grip harder to give it gas? I am very inexperienced, and when it took off, i tensed up, hittin the throttle even harder. I know i will appreciate the the responsiveness when I get more experience, but i dont want to die in the process..lol..
thanks for you help! ,UYou need to learn to hold on to the bike with your legs, so you aren't pulling on the bars during acceleraion.
The throttles are supposed to be easy to turn, so that it will snap completely closed when you let off. You can replace the throttle cam (the part that the cable attaches to) with a slower-opening unit that will give you more control. The amount you have to turn the throttle from closed to full-open will stay thesame, but it will open slower in the first half of the throttle pull, keeping you from getting such an abrupt surge of power.
Once you get a little more time on the bike, you won't have this issue any longer. You will learn proper throttle control, and your wrist will get used to the throttle pull. ,,,
Oil filter
i always just put some on the o-ring before i put it back in
but no you dont need to have oil on it,
Chain lubricant
Most are spray mate but I have used chainsaw oil in the past its very good easy to clean off if it flings and I just used to put it on the chain with an old paint brush.,,,
Mud stain
depends on what material is stained..
Aluminium stains can be very tricky to get clean if not impossible...some cleaners will also cause a orange/reddish stain wich will not come out unless you use some harsh chemicals to get them out. problem is it's hard to get to those chemicals.
IF you happen to have a truck wash nearby where they wash the big trucks (18 wheelers)take your parts there and tell them to use some brightener on it it's a chemical that really cleans aluminium.it may cost you a little bit of money but that stuff really works and i haven't been able to find that stuff for private sale anywhere.
the number 2 reasons for stains on the bike are :
1) waiting to long to wash the bike some types of sand/mud especially the red dirt we have down south here will stain a bike if you leave it on the bike not only that it dries as hard as concrete and is very difficult to remove , so was your bike ASAP.
2) washing chemicals. Some chemicals / soaps when they are left too long on aluminium will leave stains as it reacts with the aluminium , these stains are almost impossible to get out. ,,,
Clutch
you need a micrometere or vernier caliper to measure how thick they are that how you tell how worn the clutch is. the manual will list the specificational limit (how thin you should allow them to get and how do the basket and innser hub looks like). if they have small teeth on them they are worn.,
Where are the fuses on husaberg 450fe 2008 ?
The main fuse protects all power consumers of the vehicle. It is located in the starter relay housing under the air filter box lid. (A spare fuse is located in the starter relay)
The fuse box containing the fuses of individual power consumers is located under the seat

Changed battery now wont turn over.
gday there have you cleaned the earth lead and positive lead on the ones going to the battery if you have then have you checked that your new battery has charge in it between 13 to 14.2 volts as some batteries do not come charged or if it is a acid type battery it may not have acid in it ,you probably would have checked this already but just a thought my end ,if all is good there did you accidently put the terminals on wrong for a second if you made a mistake like that the fuse may have blown ,easy done,if not check with a multimeter from your battery back to your starter soliniod and if all good there then check back from that .hope this helps cheers
The battery (new) can`t keep the power, if i try
i will assume that you have an old bike with a good engine but with a dirty starter, what i mean is inside. my idea is the same as you have and i also experience the same with my bike. if you can remove the starter and open anyway it has only two screw and clean contacts and carbon brush by any available contacts cleaning agent..
Tdc
It's very possible that you won't find it on the flywheel, I would use camshafts to verify TDC since that's really all you can do with today's 4 strokes.
HOW DO I GET SEAT OFF 09/ 450 FE
There is a small plastic pull tab in the grab hole under the seat. Pull it, the seatwill pop up slightly, pull the back of the seat upward and rearward. Reverse to reinstall
Water pump seals
Basically the only way water can get in the oil is if there is a corrosion hole in the housing behind the pump impellor. Water pumps have only 1 seal and if that leaks water will drain from a hole in the pump housing under neath the pump.

Hard starting 2010 husaberg 570
1st thing to check is the fuel filter cloth in the bottom of the tank. These bikes came with plenty of crud in the tank that will clog the pick up filter bag in the tank. Once youve checked/fixed that... Check for wire chafing on the frame, its very subtle and difficult to notice. I found mine on the upper section under the rear section of the tank/airbox where it passes through the frame. Mine killed the coolant fan I added. Then I was blowing 10a fuses when I tried to start. After repairing the wiring, add a piece of fuel line or heater hose to prevent a reoccurring issue. Hope this helps
Hi there cant start my
GET A MAINTENANCE MANUAL SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR BIKE. I faced the same issue on my 04 Shadow. First, Check for the faithful triangle for internal combustion engines. Check the adjustment on your carb idle screw. All the way in, 21/2 to 31/2 turns out. If it's already good, don't mess with it yet. Ask yourself the three questions. Is there fuel present? Is there a clean air filter installed? Is there a good spark coming from your spark plug? Start looking in the area where you scratch your head or say "I don't know". Now, close the fuel petcock on your tank and remove the tank. Empty your tank into a clear container that can handle gasoline. I use a large pickle jar. Inspect the gas for water, little blobs etc. Anything that is not gas, is not good. It should be relatively clear. No heavy coloring. Could be the old gas in a jerry can has lost it's volatility. Also, gas left in the fuel cell can varnish and close important passages like carb needles, injectors etc. Clean out your fuel petcock. That means completely disassemble the valve on the petcock and lightly scrub it's interior with a small bristle brush, nothing metal. You might have a spring and steel bearing inside the petcock so be mindful as you disassemble it. After you brush out the valve, rinse it in fresh gas and reassemble it. Now, put fresh ake sure there is gas getting to the carb. If you have a mesh fuel filter in your tank, make sure it's not clogged. You may have a bowl screw on your carb. Open it and see what you get. If you have a mesh filter in your carb, make sure it's not clogged. If there is water/debris/rust etc in the fuel tank? You may have inadvertently loaded your carb with other than clean fresh gas. Put everything back together aftercleaning it out and give it a go. Good Luck! Let me know how it works out.
