Trouble shooting solid state ignition systems are better left to someone with a factory service manual and a multimeter. sorry,,,

1. Oil plug gasket 2. clutch cover gasket, 3. Center case leaking 4. TOO much oil in crankcase, 5. Shift shaft seal. 6 Counter shaft seal.

Matthew, this is a bigger job than a "shade tree" or someone that is NOT VERY experienced. It can be complicated. Sometimes a transmission can be a tough fix! I would ONLY trust this is a factory trained professional!!! Sounds like you have considerable damage!!

owww,,, was the bike running when the chain broke?? There is usually some valve to piston contact when this happens - BENT valves will NOT SEAT or SEAL!! Time to disassemble the top end!! Especially if you heard noises coming from the engine when it broke? You need to set the piston at TDC (Top Dead Center) and like the cam up with the marks on the head and cam chain gear,---- Make sure the timing marks on the flywheel are lining up..if not rotate the engine another 360 degrees until they do before starting this..You MUST CHECK THE COMPRESSION before attempting to start this engine.

If I am not mistaken,,, the KLX is a 4 stroke motor and the KX is a two stroke motor....>>? So, NO!!!!!!

If memory serves me... there is a lever on top front of the carb, push it down for start, as soon as it starts pull it up. I think it has choke stamped into it.

OK.. Loosen BOTH ends... the slack at the engine should be enough where you can move the cable a little (at least 1/8") and now adjust the handle bar lever so there is at least 1/8" of slack between the lever and the holder, If the clutch still isn't working, take a little more slack out AT the engine. If this does not fix it, you probably need a NEW cable....the old one may by stretched beyond its usable length!!

DO NOT jump with a automobile!! TOO MUCH AMPERAGE!! Get a new battery, have the solenoid checked, have the starter checked (ALL by a professional!!) its one of these three..

Remove the tail light lens.

Dan, this sounds like your battery may be the culprit. The starter drains any power the battery has left. Bump starting does not require power from the battery, DO NOT try to jump it from a car!

On the turn signals wires, which is negative and positive?

Contact Kawasaki directly to order the service manual.

Test the compression...is oil sufficient to coat cylinderwalls. Make sure float level is correct n no vacuum leaks. Battery must always read 12.6v for acoil ign..noless. Buy a repairbook online forthat bike ...dont stray

so if you checked the wires, and no pulse you probably have to replace em.

generally, no pulse to injectores, means bad injector relay or PCM driver circuit

Check if your are gettin pluse from the computer and if not get your self an ecu.....
