1999 Sportech-2000 Honda CBR 600 F4 Windscreen - Black Chrome - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Trying to figure out why my 1999 honda cbr 600 want crank..battery is fine!
Hi,
You need to under go several other tests in your Bike's starter system. Did you check if the starter button, when pressed what happens? Do you hear any sound....click click? It could be that the starter might need an overhaul or it could also be the starter solenoid switch that is faulty. Have you tried to rotate the engine by shifting into 3rd gear and see if the engine if free and not sized! It would be better too to check the cranking ability of the battery via a bettery tester wherby it has volts indicator and a load button which would show you if it's ok in power.
Hope this answer helps.

My bike dies while riding
Sounds like it may be sucking air from one place or another. You may have a small hole in a fuel hose, problem with fuel filter, or just a weak connector where the tube makes a connection. Something a little more major would be a gasket under the carburetor needing replacement. Check the tubes first. A fault with gasoline that contains ethanol is that they bring on deterioration of fuel lines. This is the easiest fix.

Dies while riding
It could be any of a dozen problems, but it sounds like that year old fuel pump. It could be a loose wire killing the pump or even vapor lock. I would start with testing the pump under pressure.

Were do the fuel lines go to on a mountop 150cc
This particular unit has a typical GY6-style engine with a fuel line designated from the gas tank to the carburetor distinguished by an in-line cylindrical fuel filter located near the center of the line. Best to locate the carburetor distinguished by the location of the air filter, there should be a hose going from that unit up into the gas tank.
Ideally, remove the gas tank entirely and it should reveal the gasoline lines directly to the carburetor.
The photo shows the fuel line/filter indicated in red, and the location of the carburetor within the blue indicator.

Cleaned my carburetors and the Jets and now my bike won't start. I have a spark but it won't start.
All questions need FULL 'year make model', as the first 3 words.
Then there are 10,000 categories listed by 'make year model'.
So we are working blind.
Make sure gasoline is being delivered to the carbs by removing the fuel delivery pipe.
Carbs come in different systems. If it has a float bowl on the bottom, tap it with the handle of a screwdriver as it may be stuck.
Turn the engine over. If it doesn't start, remove the spark plug and see if it is wet with gas?
You need three things for an engine to start
Clean gas
A spark at the right time
Compression
You have one thing missing
