From what you have described, you may have seized the engine. The brakes grabbing you mention may have been the pistons grabbing the bore. Do you have oil left in the engine after this happened?

If the engine does not increase revolutions when the throttle is rotated, then the problem probably lies with the throttle.Is the cable broken? Is the cable disconnected from the carburetor? A separate problem is the throttle not springing back. That implies a broken spring, either in the throttle handle or the carburetor itself.It would be a hell of a lot easier if you were smart enough to include what kind of motorcycle you are trying to ride. We are not there, and have no freaking idea what bike you have. Is it a Honda 50 or a Kawasaki 1200? Or is it a Schwinn?Sounds like an easy fix if you look carefully.Ask intelligently to get an intelligent answer.Good luck.

possible fuel pump. same problem happend to a friends bike and in the end it was not enough petrol comming out of tank. he also did all that you did cleaned carb ,tank, ect. in the end he prayed wd40 on carb and jets and around fuel tap and it worked for him hope it works for you.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. Yes it sounds like it. You should never ride with the clutch held half way as it is likely to make the plates slip and create heat. If you did that to stop the noise, it is likely something to do with the clutch actuator that has failed.

Yes, you may be getting too much air as the filter does provide some resistance. The most likely reason though is that something wasn't put back correctly in the carb cleaning, especially, slide, needle, jet and mixture screws..

I'm having the same problem did you ever figure it out?

Loosen the handle bar adjustment a lot, .then take a little slack out of the cable at the engine connection, then re-adjust the handlebar lever with a bout 1/8" play

Buy a clymer shopbook for svc. Cud b old battery or alternator. Unplug computer fir awhile..bike may reboot

Please check your fuses they are maybe broken

Check your oil level. They have safety sensor to shut you down when too hot. also when was your last oil change and did you use proper good quality oil with proper viscosity?

Possible shifter fork in the tranny is broken. Also inside the engine there is a little lever that pulls on a pin when shifting. That pin could be broken. Also pull in the clutch lever and try to push the bike if it moves then the clutches aren't stuck together if it doesn't move freely then its possibly a set of stuck clutch plates. That's a simple fix.

Sounds like the fuel line came loose from fuel injecter, fuel rail. Look for a nipple at pressure regulator valve or fuel rail, if regulator is in tank with fuel pump. Let me knmow how that works out.

Check valves, rings, and\or main bearing.
