My exuast pipe is glowing
Hi! Feel something regarding the ride performance? Any backfires? Its just normal, not unless you feel something not right when you ride
I bought a 05 yz250f
Your timing has some how gotten of in the engine possibly, or you could have a bad ignition coil.
Check and make sure the timing marks are correct, then check the coil to make sure its good.
Its possible if your YZ is a two stroke, the reed valves may need replaced.

I put a new top-end in. Piston,rings ect. Bike
you took out the shift cam detent instead of the oil drain plug. You may be missing a ball or a bullet shaped cap tha the spring fits into. check a online parts microfishe to see what parts may have been lefout
07 yz250f front brake sticks after half a lap
First, flush out the old fluid completely, you may have moisture in it. Try this first. After that you may need to re-build the caliper and master cylinder. (New seals and clean it all up)
2006 yamaha yz 250f starting problems
You may be having trouble with a sticking intake valve. Remove the valve cover and spray some WD-40 onto the valve and spring. Try to operate the valve with your fingers to work it loose. Once the engine starts running, it should improve. You may need to change the oil. Good luck.
I was riding my yz250f
check if the barrel has compression and also was there 2 stroke oil in it?I assume it is a 2stroke engine on this model. Also it may be a oil pump failure which could cause the piston rings to seize..But first check for spark and swap plugs and if these do not solve then do a compression check and check oil etc..
Bought a new YZ250F and can not start have tries
4-strokes can be notoriously hard to start. I can tell you that re-jetting the carb can make a huge difference - perhaps consult your local dealer for their recommendations for your riding area. Jets are cheap and relatively easy to change.
I have a yz250f 2001,
Assuming your valves have been checked, and the air filter is clean...
You carb has an accelerator pump, and these can get corroded. Make sure your carb is thoroughly cleaned.
There is an air idle adjustment screw on the bottom, that will affect starting, and idle.
The last issue could be a slow jet that may be too rich or lean. This will affect from idle to 1/4 throttle. The best way to read it is run it there for a while, and remove the plug to see the color. Too white is lean, and black sooty is too rich.
I had a high performance
I would take a close look at the valves, if you are sure the carb is entirely clean. (Accelerator pump and everything)
A closed up exhaust can harm an exhaust valve.
Start with a compression test.
Good spark?
Is the plug wet?
Looking to change the spark plug on a yz 250f, how
Sure??. You should have a long spark plug spanner in your tool kit.Remove the plug cap in the middle of the valve/rocker cover.Blow down hole with compressed air.Insert the large end of spark plug spanner down hole and turn until it engages around hex . Use the spanner from your tool kit, turn anti-clockwise untill loose then use your fingers to turn the tool and WWWWWWHHHHAAAALLLLAAAA. 1 removed spark plug...Most important to blow and foreign material outta da hole as we don't want any nasties falling into our nice new engine .
glad to help.please leave feedback.
06 yzf250. My front wheel is crooked. Handle bars
Fix it just like you would on a bicycle> stand in front of the bike facing the bars with the wheel straight forward and held tightly between your legs. Grab the bars and firmly twist them in the direction needed to line them back up. Re-check the alignment and repeat if needed. Tighten the triple clamps on the fork legs a bit and you are done.
I cant start my yz250f
You need to check that the engine is getting spark and fuel. Remove a spark plug and wire, lay the plug on the engine so its grounded and crank, see if your getting the spark, it should be a bright purple/blueish/orange color. also check that the engine is indeed getting fuel. try supplementing the fuel with a spray of ether but watch the can and only sparay alittle. let me know what happens.
