Why does my dt125r 2001 stall at high revs
Drain the tank and switch to a 32 /1 mix. I take it you have disconnected the oil feed to the carb from the 2 stroke tank, if not then your mix contains too much oil. Only switch to 32 / 1 if the oil tank has been disconnected. I hope this helps.

I would say the ignition switch wiring is incorrect. The first possition should feed horn, brake light and ignition and position two will run the lights. So find the wire that feeds the horn and brakes then remove it from position two and connect it to position one leaving the lights on position two.
Hope that helps..

My 1974 yamaha dt175 seems
The 175 is a two stroke and if gas were getting past the piston it would collect in the crank chamber which is sealed from the gearbox and gear oil. If the gearbox oil is a white-ish color the problem is water emulsifed in the oil.
As far a the cutting out, many things could cause it. The points need filed and set or replaced, the carb and filter need cleaning, bad crank bearings (usually the crank seals are bad also), condensor or coil is going bad. I have listed the items in probable secquence Hold the flywheel firmly in both hands and then lift up and down, left and right. If it is not ROCK SOLID the crank bearings need replaced. Any other questions just post a reply. By the way, you can still get many of the parts to your bike at Babbitt's. Go to the website below to see an exploded diagram of the engine and other parts of the bike. Let me know what you find out.
