Does a 2008 Harley super glide have a choke

This bike is fuel injected, therefore no manual choke. Choke or fuel enrichment in fuel injected terms is controlled by the ECM in conjunction with the engine temperature sensor. There is no 'reserve', but you will get a 'low fuel' warning light when fuel is low, same as cars.

Rocker arm specs

ROCKER ARM SUPPORT PLATE Installing the rocker arms and rotating the engine with the valve train loaded can result in bent push rods, damaged bushings or a warped support plate. To install the rocker arm support plate, both lifters of the cylinder being serviced must be on the base circle (or lowest position) of the cam. Place the rocker arm support plate assembly into the rocker housing. Loosely install the four rocker arm support plate bolts with flat washers. Tighten the rocker arm support plate bolts in a cross pattern and alternately tighten each of the four rocker arm support plate bolts just 1/4 turn. THEN continue turning the bolts in these increments until snug. THEN following the same sequence, tighten the bolts to 18- 22 ft-lbs (24.4-29.8 Nm). THEN install and alternately tighten the two bolts to secure breather assembly to 90-120 in-lbs (10.2-13.6 Nm).

Squeaky shocks on 2007 screamin eagle dyna

Are you talking about rear shocks or front fork tube/slider assemblies, either way there should be NO squeaking. Is there something on rear shocks that is contacting and rubbing?? Is any mounting hardware loose. Otherwise you probably need new shocks. Front fork tube should not be squeaking and could not likely be dry ie no fluid inside or you would notice poor ride quality. Otherwise there should not be anything that could/would squeak up there. Maybe it is not a shock that is squeaking but something else in that area that is loose or rubbing.

I have a 08 Harley super glide fxdx. the clutch will not engage

Well, the compensator should not be making noises so you might be well advised to look further into that. Give some history of the clutch problem. What was done with the bike just before the present problem??? Has the cable been properly adjusted?? Has anyone taken the clutch release cover or the cable out recently????

08 Harley Superglide will not start

You need spark at the plugs, fuel and compression. If you have spark take off the air cleaner, open throttle plates and spray some fresh fuel into the inducting module, let the throttle plates close and try to start it. If it starts if is fuel related. CHANGE you plugs also even if they look good. ALSO check that nobody opened the throotel wide aqnd locked it there with the friction lock on the grip because then it wilol not start either.

How to remove baffles

Why??? You will mess up VE and have to have bike run on a dyno to develop a new specific map for the bike and then have the ECM flashed with it. MUCH better and probably cheaper to do an engineered stage one for which maps will already be available and proven etc.

Horn doesn't blow wont crank when ignition turned

Harley horns fail. Replace the horn. If this fault has happened at the same time as engine wont crank then problem with wiring. If not then check starter relay (grey one). Also check ignition switch. Are the head lights coming on when turned on? If so the ignition switch is o/k. Connect a voltmeter to horn to check horn circuit. Accessory fuse 15 Amp supplies horn circuit and brake light and turn signal circuits so if these are working fuse o/k. Ignition/start circuit requires system relay and ECM fuse to be o/k. If fuel pump operates when run switch is activated then system relay o/k. Check start relay and circuit to start button.

Adjust clutch 2013 harley davidson

it is not hard but is a little involved to do it correctly, so go to fixmyhog.com. they have excellent maintenance videos that are worth their weight in gold and a complete guide for this. get the proper harley shop manual for your bike also. those videos have saved me thousands in dealer maintenance fees since my fxd was new in 2005. 43,000 miles later it still runs great.

2008 Harley Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide brake light not working @

Hi, Anonymous before diagnosing any brake light issue always check the bulb and fuse first for integrity a brake light staying on is usually caused by the front brake light switch, which is mechanical, not disengaging. In early models moving the throttle control housing closer to the front brake master cylinder is the main fix. On late models, the switch gets tweaked and needs to be realigned. A brake light that does not come on when the brake lever is applied can be caused by a faulty switch or no continuity in the wiring at the switch. The rear brake light switch is hydraulic and it is extremely rare to malfunction in a closed circuit condition causing the brake light to stay on. Usually, rear brake light switch issues are caused by no brake pedal free play or a sticky rear master cylinder piston. A brake light that does not come on when the rear brake pedal is depressed can be caused by a faulty switch, air contamination in the brake line, or no continuity in the wiring at the switch. Finally, most tail light wiring harnesses run under the rear fender held in place by spot-welded clips. Worn out rear shocks or lowered suspension can bottom out causing the rear tire to come in contact with the wiring harness, rubbing the insulation off, exposing the bare metal inner core, allowing it to break or short out.For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the blue links below.
