Gilera runner indicator/horn problem
Sounds like the solaniod is duff ( thats the thing that makes the clicking sound ) or it could be a short circuit which would explain the weak horn
My vespa gt 125 sometimes cuts out when at
could be a loose (or cracked) spark-plug connector
better install a new one
- as it is quite short sometimes during installation this spark-plug cable assembly gets damaged...!
Bike is popping and spluttering
Sounds like it needs a good carb cleaning or good fuel. Smell the gas and make sure it is good 1st. Then, Make sure battery is charged up. Then, try again, if that fails, take carbs off bike and give good cleaning inside and out. Good luck and don't loose any parts... Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY

HI, PROVIDING THE WOODRUF KEY HAS STAYED IN PLACE WHILE YOU PUSHED ON THE FLYWHEEL THEN THIS IS NOT THE REASON FOR POOR STARTING, DID THE STATOR BACKING PLATE HAVE ELONGATED OR FIXED HOLES, IF ELONGATED HAS IT GONE BACK IN SAME PLACE? CHECK SPARK, COMPRESION, GASKET LEAKS, FUEL, CHECK CARB SLIDE CLOSES FULLY AND IS NOT STUCK HALFWAY UP LIKE INSERTED THE WRONG WAY AROUND, WHAT WORK WAS DONE ON THE REBUILD? PAUL
Where is the spark plug located
well since you havent put a make or model car or truck I'm assuming this is a general question. The spark plugs...notice its more than one...are usually located at the top of the engine right near the pistons. You can tell where they are because they are attached to usually black rubber cables. to remove you need to pull the cable off and use a spark plug socket to remove
Back wheel rattles when u spin it back and forth
Sounds like a collapsed or near collapsed bearing. While rocking it from the top forward and back is a good indicator of bearing wear. So too are vibrations and rattles from the wheel. It could also be the anti vibrational cushions assuming your bike has those, that are present in the back wheel. They soak up the to and fro backlash that you would normally get when accellorating.
Bought a gilera dna 50
If you have good spark, fuel getting through and good compression then it could be a duff plug that works when sitting on the casing but not under compression (even new plugs can do this.)
If it ISN'T the plug then it can only be the timing...
Were does the water go??
If this is a Gilera DNA 50cc ( or scooter with the same engine, ) then try looking behind the water pump. It could be either the seal or a crack in the casing. This allows the water to run straight down into the cranckcase, even when the engine is off. The bike will start but run like a bag of nails, pushing white steam out of the exhaust and won't rev over 5 thou. Don't ask how I know...
Drain the coolant and remove the two water pipes that run from the radiator to the pump. Remove water pump and look for signs of damage to the casing (you may have to clean it with degreaser) If the seal is damaged it will be evident and can be replaced with a new one. If the casing is damaged then you can:
1) Pay through the nose to have it stripped down and alloy welded (ouch!)
2) Pay through the nose to have it stripped down and replace the casing (ouch again!)
3) Use emery cloth to rough up the surface and mix araldite, chemical metal, or plumbing repair putty (not plumber's mait, silicone sealant, super-glue, snot, chewing gum or anything like that...) Make sure it is pushed fully into the gap but be careful not to get it on the seal or the crank end. Then when it is completely dry, refit the pump and pipes, refill the system and see if it all goes to plan. Start the motor and watch the coolant level and temp guage. Top up the level as the bubbles come up. Hopefully all will be well and Robert is ***********'s brother.
