I am thinking about lowering
If a lowering kit is avaliable then all the rideability and safety has been taken into respect, a good rear lowering kit will include addjustments for the front suspension, in detail, tip before starting work make a note of the standard settings and where poss mark fork and rear suspension plates with a marker pen, for refrence in case you wish to return to standard, easy job you must support the bike at a fixed point and not the rear swinging arm when removing parts
I have a 2007 C50
You have a bad contact in the electrical circuit - either the ignition key switch (try to bypass it) or in the wiring - check the ground contact on the battery and the power cables.
How to inprove engine power by modification of
Hi,
Modifying one part of your bike will some effect from another.
If you modify the exhaust system it won't guarantee a bigger additional power, it only just help the exhaust from the engine to go out faster. Become noisy too!
You must modify the piston, carburetor, crankshaft drive gear, and rear wheel gear to have the optimum power advantage you desire for real power from your bikes engine.
May I suggest, instead of the exhaust modification, you should start in the gearing system( crank gear sprocket, rear wheel sprocket, and chain )
Hope that helps you.
Thanks for using FixYa!
Hi i have a suzki
if you have stored it for a year without keeping the battery charged up then the battery will need to be replaced
I recently purchased a 2006
My bike makes a noise like that especially after a ride , on mine its the fuel vapour either escaping or drawing air in from the fuel cap seal
NzWhat sort of charger would
If the battery is 12V, which i think it is, than any small 12V charger, the plug in trickle charger is the best, i have 3 of these and leave them connected 24 hours 7 days a week on my toys (bikes+car) which i dont use regularly.
Clicking or loudingd ticking noise
I think I would start with the valves. It sounds like they need to be adjusted to eliminate the play on a cold atart up.A worn chain tensioner doesn't care if its hot or cold.Do an oil change on the bike as well, the valves might be hanging up a bit.happy riding
Looking for a manual for
#1 source would be the local Suzuki dealer, I have ordered manuals for many bikes that where as old as this, pricce was good, my last bike was a GS750 and got a manual for that from the dealer, also check Ebay, they have bike manuals on there all the time.
C-50 wont start. Had bad
Chances are the battery will no longer hold a charge. An internal short could be why. Bike batteries seldom last more than two years. How old is the battery? Jump the battery from your car battery. If the starter works, the battery is bad, not the starter. You DO have water covering the top of the plates in each battery cell don't you? Please rate my answer, thanks.
Horn Doesn't work
Remove the leads that connect to the horn. Then, using a spare set of jumper wires, connect the horn directly to the battery. If the horn sounds, check the switch. If the horn does not sound, replace the horn.
