After resetting my tripometer after

Well, thats one for the books I believe.Without having the bike in front of me, I would suggest first finding out where the problem is NOT. Start with your ignition. Pull off a spark plug boot with a pair of insulated pliers.Hold the boot close to the plug and try to start the bike.See if you are getting any spark. If yes, then your problem is fuel, but that doesnt add up to what caused your original issue with the tripmeter. So I am betting you will not have any spark to your plugs. In which case, you have either a short between the handlebars and the coils which is causing them not to get the power they need to fire the plugs, or depending on the ignition system you have, you may simply have a shorted ECM.Again, to test components like that you will need test equipment and a manual.if your going to do it yourself, be patient and dont give up.Or you could simply take it to a shop and pay them their fees to diagnose the circuit failure.Good luck and I hope it is something simple that you can fix yourself.

Fuel pump comes on battery

the 1st thing u do is find out if the injectors have 12 volts at the connector to each injector with the key on, if not then check fuses, if yes you have a problem on the computer (knwon as the ECU) control side of the injector which is the ground side, run a continuity test of the ground side wire from the injector connector back to the computer/ECU, if you have power to the ECU and the injectors are good and the wiring is not open and the injectors have a 12 volt source key on then the ECU is defective.

My 2008 675 is down

yes using the wrong octane can cause problems like this, use the recommended 91 octane, these engines are designed from the ground up for a certain fuel octane, the engine management system is set up for 91 not 94, also the cylinder design is for 91, you are just throwing away good money on the higher grade and most likely causing this problem, had many people be very skeptical of this, but they have come back and told me I was correct about the octane issues...

Having driven through torrential rain.

yes it is possible. buy yourself a can of WD40 (penetrating oil)... spray all electrical parts and wiring you can see with that. it will repel the water but it does not conduct electricity. also buy a bottle of gas line antifreeze and put half of it in your fuel tank. it sucks up any water you may have in your fuel (petrol)

2001 Triumph 600TT. I purchased it missing a kickstand and tip over sensor. Where do I go from here to get it running?

Parts Suppliers. The normal thing to think is "I'll just bypass them", but the tip over sensor cuts power to the engine if you drop the bike riding it. https://www.google.com/search?q=2001+Triumph+600TT+kickstand+and+tip+over+sensor ..

1997 triumph daytona 955i. Battery. Is not charging while im riding it. Why ??

There are several possible reasons why the battery on your 1997 Triumph Daytona 955i may not be charging while you are riding it:
  1. The battery may be faulty. If the battery is not holding a charge or is not functioning properly, it will not be able to charge while you are riding the motorcycle.
  2. The charging system may malfunction. The charging system is responsible for supplying power to the battery while the motorcycle is running. If the charging system is not functioning properly, the battery will not be able to charge.
  3. The voltage regulator may be malfunctioning. The voltage regulator is a component of the charging system that regulates the voltage supplied to the battery. If the voltage regulator is not functioning properly, the battery may not be able to charge.
  4. The battery cables or connections may be loose or damaged. If the battery cables or connections are loose or damaged, the battery will not be able to receive a charge.
To troubleshoot the problem, you should start by checking the battery to see if it is functioning properly. If the battery is not the issue, you will need to check the charging system and voltage regulator to see if they are functioning properly. If the problem persists, it is recommended that you have the motorcycle inspected by a qualified mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

My triumph trophy runs for 5 minutes then dies and won't turn back on

That is usually indicative of a fuel supply issue. Check the Petcock is open and working. Strip and clean the carb fuel bowls and jet.

I have a 2003 Triumph Trophy 1200 that has been in storage for 10 yrs. It starts Ok but when I try to put it in gear there is a loud metallic rattling noise and it won't go into 1st.

You are probably describing a frozen clutch caused by a long period of disuse - the clutch plates long pressed together under the pressure of strong springs have become frozen together. Sometimes only dismantling the clutch will cure the problem. Lots of people just keep the revs low and jam it into gear and hope the shock loading will do the trick. A much kinder method is to start the engine with first gear selected and go for a ride - changing gear without the clutch is quite a trick but possible. Keep the clutch lever pulled and by the time the engine is developing high torque in a high gear most clutches would become unfrozen...

Triumph 2007 speed master stops running after 75 miles.....switch to reserve and when I fill the tank it only takes 2.5 gallons. What are the possible causes?

IN WHAT Country , they sell this not just in UK. and they all do not have the same tank. some are 5.2Gallons. ok moved you out of computers,. to Motorcycles and deleted you email , do not post your email in public unless 1000 spams a day for 100 years is fun. or far far worse. (then then phish you and bam) not sure the question so will answer both. 1: mpg wrong, 2; WHAT IS THE RESERVE gallons missing in the book. ok MC 101 Are motorcycles new to you ,(ive owned too many to count) back to 1965 in fact, even had a real Triumph TR6 car (pure love there) OK MPG:? 865cc twin. guessing 35mpg. 45mpg on long trips. 2.5 gallons . (30x2.5=75miles) and 2.5gal would be 30mpg, and would be normal in the city or lots of fast stop and go. 4.4 gallons tank. below is the reports but is real bad, folks do MPG wrong. small tanks make MPG super hard to calc. unlike 20 in a car. the cure is learning to average 3 tanks. total fuel gal, and total miles, then divide. http://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/triumph/speedmaster OR RESERVE; where is it? does your tank have fuel lever? bottom left is traditional or is your question really where is the reserve point that is missing in all online spec.. and in the book. over filling the small tanks by overriding the auto station nozzle shut off , makes MPG seem low. The low fuel lamp will illuminate approximately 3.5 litres of fuel remaining in the tank. (near 1 gallon almost) I am now reading your manual. and it's in Europe somewhere, and no clues as to reserve point. did you read your manual to see how any reserve works the book has no such word in the manual. EFI injection no EFI fuel pump likes running dry, so I bet dollars to donuts they don't make that easy. This the early warning light. (just like modern cars) never run one dry. the pump is fuel cooled and fuel lubricated, is why. that is all on fuel . tell what is the problem, your post is only a hint. ok? good luck, and ride safe.
