Chasis number
Bajaj usually places the number on a plate that is just under the handle bars an alternate location should be under the seat for some scooters.,

Hi,
I am owning a bajaj
I think its the internal wiring problem. I too faced the same issue and my mechanic told that the wiring has gone (and indeed it was gone) and once i had rewired everything started working fine.

2007 Bajaj Pulsar 150 will not start
The reason for this complaint is that air fuel mixture is not maintained. adjust air fuel jet screw on the carburetor it works perfectly. a routine check always necessary to check the correct working of the machine....

Hello.
My pulsar 150 UG3 is
Speedometers are not exact and they will vary slightly, even between the same model, year etc.
Tyre size and wear also affect the reading because of the distance travelled with one complete revolution of the wheel. A new tyre with plenty of tread depth will travel further in one revolution than an older worn tyre with less tread depth. If you have two bikes and the tyre treads are different depths, just measure around them both and you will see the different circumferences. Multiply that difference by 100 and you see how much further one will travel than the other in only 100 revolutions and when you think how many times a wheel goes round on a journey, the difference is huge. This puts into perspective the 3KPH difference and also why a tyre seems to wear out quicker once it is down to half the original tread depth......I know mine seem to.

How many km did change the engine oil.....
Hello,
On this Indian bike ( like most of Japan made bikes) with using a standard oil, should replace every 2000 KM to maintain your bike performance.
Regards, Jay

Changing engine oil and key tips
Change Engine oil once in every 1500 to 2000 kms that will be enough,
But beware of immature wear and tear of chain sprocket, tires, break shoes, and internal engine parts in case of Rash driving.

Cranks but will not start
Remove the spark plug yourself carefully and check the state. If it is fully blacked out, it means it is fused out. You will need to change the spark plug. Most of the cases, that should be the issue.
