Fit a shorter suspension, maybe? Is it possible to attach the front fork 1-2 inch lower? You could mount a smaller wheel at the back, but the whole gearbox will be "shorter". If so you can keep the original gear ratios by mounting a smaller rear sprocket. The ratios of wheel diameters and teeth numbers should be the same, especially for a 125. Ask a mechanic.

sounds like either a semi blocked jet of the choke not operating properly. Not sure on the set up of your bike but some have vacuum pipes so also check these are not leaking.

petcock maybe bad--gas line may be sucking air--bent gas line. if bike has been sitting up jets could be clogged.

maybe rings are you losing coolant check the spark plug if it comes out with oil or too wet this means your oil pump is pulling to much in get back to me budd

It seem like your on the right track ,if you have power one minute and nothing the next .you could have as you suspect an eathing problem ,Wires can rub and the plastic caseing will exspose the bare wire which will cause the problem you are getting .Theres no quick fix here you need to check any wires that could be eathing out ,And this could be anywhere on the bike around the effected area where you are having the problem .

get some tools and titen up the bolts on crankshaft too see any difference--may be a worn gasket--1st clean bike with a rag--chec other places for looseness also--motor may be burnin oil-hard to tell on some

you can run the standard plug. no need to change

the end can? your exhaust? for a two stroke your always going to have that the burn oil in the gas.
the rattle you hear may need to be looked at. If you have a good shop in your town i would load it up and let them listen to it. it may be nothing but it could be something. better to be safe then have to rebuild
