2001 Enfield Bullet 500 Questions & Answers
Kick start and no compression.
The problem is with the engine bore and the cylinder, either the engine might get ceased or it may warned out. and in the mean time check the battery and other electrical circuit along with the engine oil for the better usage.
Saddlebags
I bought some cheapo leather bags off ebay that just hung over the seat/fended and tied off to the rails on the bike. I unbolted my stock seat and put them across the fender underneath and they worked well.
When I changed to a solo seat that setup did not look all that good so I cut the web between the two bags and attacked them to the rails using rubberized clamps I got in the plumbing section at ACE hardware. I don't really like having saddle bags on the bike as far as looks but its nice to be able to carry a pump rain suitsbungie cords , tools and various other things with ease.
Of course these are not readily removable but that can be a good thing. I kinda would like canvas bags with removable clip action to attach them to the bike, but I went cheap. ,,,
Starting Problem
It is important to first check for the electrics, check the spark, if low , check the plugs, the wires, the coils , the contacts..the old models have the platinum points and the newer version has an electronic unit. Check on this section. However if the spark looks good then the possible fault is the fuel. Check fuel, fuel filter, see if the carburator is dirty , clean jets. If the cylinder is flooded remove plug and flush out , The put back the spark plug , the bike will start. Hope this helps.comment.
Straighten forks
you need a fly press or a bigish vise. Use alloy strips or blocks each side, one on bend point and one each side (say) 150-200mm away. Tighten vise until leg bends a little, release vise and see if returns to same point as you started. If yes then you need just a little more force. I stress that you want to straighen the bend by the smallest amount with each pump. Doing it on a hydraulic press with extreme caution would be even better. Take time to do job slowly.

Throttle problems
- Fuel, Air and the lines.
- Tune your vehicle and get fuel especially from reputed brands like SHELL
- If water has entered your fuel tank this will happen, I mean Backfire and no response. This is till the water or air clears you know
- Service your vehicle from a person who is a specialist in Enfield's not any one.
- Also update the city you live

Engine misfire
There are many other common things that will cause your bike to act this way. Replacing the entire computer is pretty extreme. I know they told you they checked everything, but unless you were there to watch at all times, you never really know what all they did. It sounds to me more like a misfiring problem which wld be one or more of the spark plugs. These bikes are very simple to work on. I suggest you get a Haynes service manual for your specific bike. It shows you in detail(pics, step by step instructions, exact tools needed, ect.) there is also a trouble shooting section in this manual. Others things it cld be are your air filter, clogged fuel pump, sludge in the gas tank, as well as several different relays. The manual will walk you through how to check everything and it is very very simple. Good luck

Loose throttle
if you can twist the handle completely without any engine response the I imagine that the cable has broken probable in the handle piece. Check it out and replace if required.

Need circuit diagram for ARLEC 15e 6-24Volt 15Amp Electronic battery charger OR their later model BC58
I can't find a diagram.
The small potentiometer on the control board likely serves as an adjustable component to fine-tune specific parameters. Here are some possibilities:
Voltage Regulation:
The potentiometer might control the output voltage. By adjusting it, you can set the desired charging voltage for different battery types (e.g., 6V or 12V).
Current Limit Adjustment:
It could be used to set the maximum charging current. Adjusting the potentiometer allows you to limit the charging current based on the battery's capacity and condition.
Sensitivity or Threshold:
Some potentiometers act as sensitivity controls. For example, it might adjust the threshold at which the charger switches between charging and maintenance modes.
Setting the Potentiometer:
Without the specific circuit diagram or detailed information about your charger, I recommend the following general steps:
Observe the Potentiometer:
Identify the potentiometer on the control board. Note its position and any markings (if present).
Consult the User Manual:
Check the user manual or operating instructions. It might provide guidance on adjusting the potentiometer.
Trial and Error:
If no specific instructions are available, start with the potentiometer set to its mid-position.
Gradually adjust it while monitoring the charger's behavior (e.g., charging current, voltage).
Observe how the charger responds to changes in the potentiometer setting.
Fine-tune it based on your specific battery type and desired charging characteristics.
Remember that precise adjustments depend on the charger's design and the battery you're charging.

What is the length of lift cables on a 1993 model 2693 hilo camper and any info on what after market part to use ? thanks
The lift cables on a 1993 model 2693 Hilo camper are 30 feet,2 3/4 inches long and fit the standard height lift of 11 feet 8 inches high to the top of the overhead. The lift uses two cables. According to a Hi- Lo camper travel trailer forum, cable replacement is basically the same on all years and models, with the main difference being the length of the cables from model to model. You can use a cable cut chart to find what cable length you need for your camper, and you'll need to know your year, model name, and box (body) length: Lift cables typically wear out after three to five years, so it's important to replace them as needed and keep them regularly maintained.
