Where is vtx 1800 starter located

The starter on a Honda VTX 1800 motorcycle is located on the right side of the engine, beneath the chrome engine cover. You will need to remove the cover to access the starter motor. The starter motor is a small cylindrical unit with wires running to it. It is responsible for turning the engine over when you press the starter button. If you are having trouble starting your VTX 1800, it is possible that there is an issue with the starter motor, but there could be other causes as well, such as a dead battery or a faulty ignition switch.

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge. It is throwing a P1447 code and replacing the rear speed sensor solenoid on the rear end overdrive light flashes will not go into overdrive?

Code P1447 is a code referring to the EVAP system so the speed sensor is a separate issue. For the code you will need to get the whole EVAP system checked for a stuck valve, blocked/damaged pipes, damaged wires and cracks in the EVAP canister.

1994 VT1100 Front cylinder exhast sounds like a Jetsons car

Check all the points where there is air/exhaust going in and out of the cylinder. Sometimes the pop noise is a loose fitting or a hole in one of the flexible pipes. Another possible cause is your fuel/air mixture isn't correct. Does the noise change with added Choke? Is the Exhaust smoke thicker and a dark grey/black colour? Is yours the Twin Carb setup? The carbs might be out of balance and one is running richer than the other. When the engine is cold, you could remove and inspect the spark plugs to see if they look the same colour. You're looking for either black, sooty plugs (rich mixture), or a clean, Pale white colour (lean mixture). A good plug will be more of a brown colour.

Only one section of my jets is operating. All other jets aren't putting out any air???

If only one section of your jets is operating and the others are not, there could be several potential causes:
  1. Clogged jets: If the non-functioning jets are clogged with debris or mineral buildup, they may not be able to produce bubbles. You can try cleaning the jets with a jet cleaner or a solution of water and white vinegar.
  2. Airlock: Airlock can occur when there is air trapped in the plumbing system. This can prevent water and air from flowing to the non-functioning jets. You can try running the pump on high for several minutes to see if this will dislodge any air bubbles in the plumbing.
  3. Pump problems: If the pump is not working properly, it may not be able to provide enough water flow to the non-functioning jets. Check the pump to ensure that it is working properly and producing sufficient pressure.
  4. Damaged or worn out jets: If the jets are damaged or worn out, they may need to be replaced. Check the jets to see if they are cracked or broken and replace them as necessary.
If you are unable to diagnose and repair the issue yourself, it may be best to contact a professional pool or hot tub technician who can help you identify the root cause of the problem and provide a solution

650 vstarv 2000 no spark .hot coils when I tested the stater it does pulsat

If your 2000 Yamaha V Star 650 is not getting spark, there could be several potential causes. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Ignition coils: While you mentioned that the coils are getting hot, it's possible that they are not functioning properly and need to be replaced. You can check the resistance of the coils with a multimeter to ensure that they are within the manufacturer's specifications.
  2. Spark plugs: Make sure that the spark plugs are clean and properly gapped. If they are worn or fouled, they may need to be replaced.
  3. Ignition switch: Check to make sure that the ignition switch is working properly and is providing power to the ignition system. You can use a multimeter to test the continuity of the switch.
  4. CDI unit: The CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) unit controls the ignition system and can be a common source of problems if it fails. You may want to check the CDI unit to make sure that it is functioning properly.
  5. Wiring: Check all wiring connections to ensure that they are secure and free from corrosion. If any wires are damaged, they may need to be repaired or replaced.
It's also worth noting that while the starter motor may be working properly, it does not necessarily mean that the ignition system is functioning correctly. If you are unable to diagnose and repair the issue yourself, it may be best to take the bike to a qualified mechanic who can help you diagnose and fix the problem.

Briggs and Stratton Elite Generator. It runs but no A.C. current output.

If you have already replaced the voltage regulator and checked the grounding wire, the next step would be to check the circuit breaker. Here's how you can check the circuit breaker:
  1. Turn off the generator and unplug all appliances connected to it.
  2. Open the generator's control panel to access the circuit breaker.
  3. Check the circuit breaker for any signs of damage, such as burnt or melted parts, or loose connections.
  4. If there is no visible damage, use a multimeter to test the circuit breaker. Set the multimeter to measure resistance (ohms) and touch the probes to the terminals of the circuit breaker. If the circuit breaker is working properly, the multimeter should show zero resistance.
  5. If the circuit breaker is faulty, it will need to be replaced. You can contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance with replacing the circuit breaker.
It is also possible that the generator's stator or rotor has been damaged, which could be causing the lack of AC output. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair. Please note that working with electricity can be dangerous and should only be attempted by those with the appropriate training and experience. If you are not comfortable performing these checks yourself, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified technician.

No spark both plugs on 2001 vstar 650 custom

It sounds like you have done a lot of troubleshooting already, but have you checked the wiring harness for any breaks or shorts? It is possible that the wiring harness is damaged and not allowing the spark to reach the plugs. If you have checked all of the components and wiring and still can't find the issue, then it may be time to take it to a professional mechanic to have them look into it further.

2006 s-type v6 rt side timing varible sensor replacement

Replacing a broken variable valve timing (VVT) sensor on a 2006 S-Type V6 can be a bit challenging, but it is doable with the right tools and knowledge. Here are the general steps you can take:
  1. Locate the broken VVT sensor: The sensor is typically located on the top or side of the engine, near the camshaft or timing chain. Use a repair manual or online resources to find the exact location of the sensor on your vehicle.
  2. Remove the electrical connector: Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to release the locking tab on the electrical connector and pull it away from the sensor.
  3. Remove the sensor: Use a wrench or socket to remove the bolt holding the sensor in place. You may need to use an extension bar to reach the bolt. Once the bolt is removed, carefully pull the sensor out of the engine block.
  4. Clean the area: Use a clean cloth to wipe away any dirt or debris around the sensor opening.
  5. Install the new sensor: Insert the new VVT sensor into the engine block and hand-tighten the bolt. Then, use a torque wrench to tighten the bolt to the manufacturer's specification (typically around 18-20 Nm).
  6. Reconnect the electrical connector: Push the electrical connector onto the new sensor until it clicks into place.
  7. Test the new sensor: Start the engine and check for any error codes related to the VVT system. If everything is working correctly, the engine should run smoothly and the error codes should be cleared.
It's important to note that the VVT system is a critical part of the engine's performance, so if you're not comfortable performing this repair yourself, it's best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for assistance.

How to tighten the depth adjustment lever on CMCS500

The CMCS500 is a Craftsman cordless drill that features an adjustable depth stop. To tighten the depth adjustment lever, follow these steps:
  1. Locate the depth adjustment lever on the drill. It is usually located near the chuck.
  2. Use a wrench to tighten the nut that secures the depth adjustment lever to the drill body. Turn the nut clockwise to tighten it.
  3. Check the depth adjustment lever to ensure it is tight and secure. Test the drill on a scrap piece of material to make sure the depth stop is properly set.
If the depth adjustment lever continues to loosen or does not tighten properly, you may need to have the drill serviced by a professional.
