1975 Honda CB 100 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Head tension
The torque settings are governed by the bolt size, bike manufacturers simply follow those same equations.

The above site will give you the figures.
Or alternatively, an owner's manual which has the figures can usually be purchased very cheaply from a big box near the sales counter of most bike wreckers. The size code is stamped on original manufacturers bolt heads.
Cheers.
Loncin LX110 st
My friend, if this motorcycle goes faster in reverse than forward, this is truely an odditity. You must be running really, really fast.
If we are talking about the Honda (as in the heading of your question) the CB-100 is a small motorcycle with a small engine. Not only that, but this model is now more than 30 years old. Honda makes a great engine, no matter the size. And now, after more than 30 years, you have one that runs, is a tribute to Honda!
I had a 1972 CB-100 ... , I was able to break all speed limits in the state where I lived at the time with my motorcycle. My CB-100 did not (and I don't think yours does either) have a reverse gear.
I am not familiar with the Lincoln LX110 s, your sub heading. A search in Google didn't show me any motorcycle listings. If the Lincoln LX110 st is what we are talking about, please give more informaiton.

What is the simplest way
The simplest way is to change the stock front sprocket for a larger one. Assuming the stock sprocket has 12 teeth, go to a 13 or 14 tooth sprocket. This will give a higher top end speed but will slow the bike on acceleration off the line. Simple and low cost.

Bike will not start because
If you have a vacuum petcock make sure the diaphragm does not have a hole in it causing fuel to bypass the fuel petcock.
Note: always turn your fuel off when not riding. Not turning off your fuel petcock might cause your engine to fill with gas. Make sure your oil is not contaminated with gas. If it is you will have to do an oil change. It is possible that your air filter is now soaked with oil.
Next you may have to take your carburetors apart and clean them. They could have gummy gas in them causing the float needles to stick open flooding the engine. When cleaning inspect thew needles for wear, damage, and bad rubber shut off tips and replace them if necessary.

Type of Engine oil to
It realy depends on the climate you live in.
Most oils of 10w-40 are suitable for UK riding. If you use semi synthetic it will last longer before the molecules are destroyed.

I replaced a broken drive
sounds like the clutch is now bad --- I have seen this happen when running at a high RPM and when the belt breaks the clutch goes even faster and the springs and weights inside the centrifugal clutch get all out of wack and stretched from the quick change in speed. you should buy a clutch rebuild kit or a new clutch,, this will solve your problem.
