This is a wild guess. You need a new or rebuilt starter motor. The shaft for the starter motor gear broke and the starter gear is not turning over your engine.

Have you compression tested the bores, do a wet and a dry test.

It's only a toy. I wouldn't worry about it unless it runs really rough.

I think it simply means it's a later, (newer), model of that generation of CB750. The bikes without the 'N' all seem to be 1970's bikes.

You need to take this bike to professional mechanic and have THEM clean and set the carbs,,, and put a NEW air filter in and NEW SPARK PLUGS.... it will be fine!!

Try contacting Honda directly to inquire.

The clutch or gears hav issue. Buy a clymer repairbook for total rebuild.

Possibly 4 things :
1- switch on handle bar is off or bad meaning broken ( open - not making contact) this is a common occurrence.
2- check that you have +12 volts (battery voltage)to one side to your coils with a volt meter when the ignition switch is turned on.
3- remove the wires from the coil and turn the ignition switch on. Check for the +12volts battery power on one side of the coil , you are looking for a shorted coil.
4- remove the coil wires. Using a volt meter set to read ohms on the kw range. Test between the power +12vdc of the coil and a output to the sparkplug. You shoul read ~ 18 kw . A 1ohm or Infinity means the coil is defective. Keeping the meter lead on the +12vdc test the othe ouptput to the other sparkplugs you should get a similar reading. Test between the +12vdc and the - on the coil with the wires removed, you should read around 4 ohms . 1ohm or 20or more is an indication of a bad coil.
Thes are pretty good tests for a coil system in you bike .

A bad spring, bent rod, etc, can cause poor shifting. Dirt or debris may be jamming it. If the shifter mechanism is o.k. then you might have a transmission fork bent and will need to get inside the tranny. An oil change smooths out the shifting too. Consider one if you don't have a recent one
