Honda 750cbxfe alternator noise
Not much to get messed up in the alternator unless the coil came apart. How about the starter clutch? that's in there and can make quite a racket if it's messed up. Will it start? Is it noisy when starting? You probably won't know till you look.
Hope it's not too bad.

Hi cbx 750 cc
Remove the float bowls on the left carbs then clean the carbs with spray carb cleaner. Pay special attention to the float needle. A bit of rust, gasket or other contaminant is preventing the float needle from shutting off the petrol. Please rate my answer.

CRANKING BUT FAILURING TO PICK
1. Leave the bike alone, do not retry to start when that happens.
2. Make sure the reserve petcock and choke is set open when starting the bike.
3. Make sure battery is in top fully charged condition.
4. If you have not run it for a long while, then have the carb cleaned as the jets maybe sticking due to dirt built up and fuel line clogging.
5. Make sure your spark plugs, plug wirings and coil are clean and in good conditions
6. Have your ignition timing chain checked and ensure is set properly.
7. No air leakage anywhere before or after carburator lines.
8.Think that is the main cause, now try again. Cheers
I rode the bike 3
Check the main fuse located on the starter solenoid. They can develop cracks and look good but still be bad. You can follow the positive battery cable to the solenoid. Unplug the harness from the solenoid to open the fuse door, there should be a spare fuse there . The flat fuse is a dealer only part.

I need an engine!
Look unto England man, or just Google it to Wemoto.com or eBay or bikesparefinder.co.uk or even your local motcycle wreckers.
What tyre pressure would you recommend for a
it is best to go with the mfsti, the psi listed on the tire itself but there are some things you can do to adjust this. less ait about 5 10 pounds will give you a softer tire and better handleing. the trade off on this will be faster wear of the tire. over inflating it will give much better feul mileage sharper (not better but you will feel the effect of faster handleing going into and coming out of leans.) the trade off is going to be faster tread wear in the center of the tire. you are going to want to make sure the front and back are the same. i did a under inflate in the front and an over inflate on the rear and it gave me the feel that i liked in the bike. play around with it and have fun.
Starter motor turning,but engine doesn't!!
Sounds like you have a problem with the timing chain and the valve timing is out meaning a valve is down when the piston at the top causing an interference. Take the spark plugs out and with the bike in a high gear and on the center stand see if the engine will turn over by hand by pulling the back wheel. Don't force it or you will bend a valve and damage the piston though it probably has happened already. You would need to open the engine up and see what is happening with the timing chain, valve timing etc and go from there.
