Has it been sitting for awhile and if you roll forward then switch it into gear does it shift fine. If it goes into gear while rolling the it's a clutch adjustment. If it's been sitting it's most likely tbe clutch plates are stuck together. Even though it's a semi auto it still uses clutch plates that are accessable to you.

you lost the code, that it and not told ,why, are you a thief?
RTM yet, no do read the manual
NO Gladiator model stated so answers must be GENERIC !!!
most of these cheap safes are useless beyond stopping you kids.
the book tells you to use key. they provided one when new.
other safes no key (better that) have the front plastic bs come off
and you connect and external battery then enter your code

if you used youtube on these toy safes. you will see them being opened in under 30 seconds. (a hammer ,chisel and drill)
the worst thing about them is DIGITAL:
think that through , Digital adds one more way go gain entry.
best is mech,, only dial and no keys at all, keys make any safe child's play to open.
best are
1: no digital BS and for sure NO KEYS at ALL ever.
2: no batteries
3: real dial mech tumbler lock with glass tumblers.(tamper proof)
4 :bolted to concrete floor with huge 1/2" anchors (in the garage)
5: water proof, and fire proof rated for 1hr at least.

some gun safes fit this bill easy and are affordable.
Real safes are not cheap. ever.

so I answered 2 ways, how to do it and how get a better safe.

Make sure the cable is correctly adjusted. Pull in the clutch and rock the bike back and forth whilst trying to shift out of gear.

Is the cable moving? Is it hydraulic clutch? If it's a cable and you can see it moving and you can take off on the motorcycle when your clutch isn't the problem, if it's stuck in gear try moving the motorcycle with the motor off and not using the clutch and force it forward and backward possibly loosening something in the transmission. You should fill the tires grabbing the pavement and hopefully that will loosen up the stuck position, otherwise you would have to take the inspection plate off and try to pry it with a screwdriver.

The following link includes additional links to maintenance manuals for Lance scooters. I can not identify your model from the supplied information. There are YouTube videos, indeed a series of such, relating to fuel and vacuum lines for taotao although probably not your model. I'll list one for you to eye.

Hi, remove the screw at the rear of the seat. Assuming the bike has the stock seat, lift the rear of the seat clear of the spigot on the fender, pull back towards the back to release the tang at the front of the seat. If the seat strap is still in place, twist the seat and pull it out of the strap. Re-fitment is the reverse order.
