Could be that you have blown the piston rings, firstly i would remove the rear silencer, as 2 strokes bellow out exsess smoke and loose power when the silencer becomes blocked due to carbon, start and run the bike and check without the silencer, furthermore to eliminate the exhaust itself is blocked, undo it from the cylinde
I need to change the clutch on my 1981 Kawasawki KE125
It should be under the left side engine case. un do case screws, remove clutch cable, the clutch should have a series of plates and are held in a basket with a big nut in the centre holding it on to the crank, remove nut and it all should slide off towards you. replace plates and replace every thing in the reverse order, when done make sure that there is 1/4 inch of play in the adjustment of the clutch lever. This means when you pull in the clutch you should not feel any resistance for the first 1/4 clutch lever travel. also when trying to undo clutch centre nut, put the bike in gear and put a steel bar through the spokes of the wheel held against the swing arm to lock up the engine to undo the nut and tighten it.
My 4-wheeler idles fine but misfires once you give it gas
I don't know if I can solve it but it sounds to me like you're not getting enough fuel. has it been sitting awhile or just start doing this randomly? If it's been sitting there's a pretty good chance you'll need to clean you carburetor. when gas sits in the bowl of your carburetor for too long it will get thick and smell almost like varnish. My Suzuki 250 4x4 had a similar misfire and cleaning the carb fixed mine.
Burned spark plug
burning to hot, change air filter. adjust mix on carb, tight in and 1 and 3/4 out
I just came accross a
Petseal will fisx the petrol tank and the carb is probably blocked with dead insects and corroded jets etc.
Have a 1977 ke 250
No you do not need the battery just make sure that your key or kill switch are all working properly.
I am in nedd of
The parts are available as well as complete carburetors, I checked. Go to
www.babbittsonline.com and you can order from them. On the site you can see an exploded view of the carb. But if you don't want to put a few bucks in the bike, I would be happy to put it in my garage. :-) Please rate my answer. Thanks.
Starter spins but doesn't turn
Typically there is a piece called a one way clutch. It is bolted to the back of the flywheel. In this case the one way clutch is not grabbing the large starter gear. You will have to remove the engine side cover, pull off the flywheel, and replace the one way clutch and starter gear. Then, when the starter motor is spinning , the clutch will grab the starter gear, the motor will turn over, and hopefully start.
Loss compresion
1. check piston rings
2. check valve seal
3. check spark plug tight
4.check head bolts
5. check gaskets
do all these one by one and check the compression.
I have been an accident
I had a problem with my gold wing like that, once you make sure that there is no frame damaged setting your bike on a center stand do the one pice string around the back tire pulled to the front on both
sides,(make sure your rear tire is alined on the same marks for the swing arm) checking your triple tree for damage or just might need to be loosened and retightend
I have a 2001 kawasaki
I dont think its the stator or regulator. If it gets brighter when you put the indicators on or apply the brake light, it sounds very much like the headlamp is using their return to earth. I know you have checked the grounds (earth), but often the grounds or earths are linked up within the loom.
Do you have a wiring diagram? If so, identify which is the earth return for the headlight and run a direct feed back to the battery negative. If this produces a bright light, you will know there is a problem in the loom.
You could just wire a new earth into the system or start cleaning all the little connectors.
good luck
