Hooking up the gas tank the gas line to petcox the vac line to petcox what is the other line what do it go to this is on a 1982 gs650 suziki

The other line goes to the fuel gauge overflow right next to the petcock vacuum line on the tank. Big nipple on petcock goes to fuel line leading between carb 2 and 3. Small nipple on petcock goes to the brass nipple on the front of carb number 2. The other hose hooks up to the nipple coming from the fuel sending unit and routes down below the battery and ends. It's there in case the fuel sending unit leaks the hose will route the gasoline away from a hot engine instead of pouring out right on top of it. The nipple to the fuel sending unit should be positioned pointing directly at the petcock on the bottom of the tank. In case you don't know what I mean by sending unit it's the big round circle on the left side of the bottom of the tank with 2 wires coming from it.

i moved you out of cars and trucks, do head lamps work? that be first. then fuses i guess no kick start, right? sad missing that, id never own one. owned over 50 motorcycles. all gone now. from 1963 to now. the the battery if head lamps are ok batter is next. or the push button failed. or wiring failed. a voltmeter used finds this fast. got one? never try to fix cars or mc, lacking at least a Volt meter or pay others at $100 hr, to do it.

Which plug is number one out of the four?

As it is an across the frame engine, the cylinders are numbered from left to right as you sit on the bike. So, number one is outside left clutch lever end, number 2 inside left, 3 is inside right and 4 is outside right brake lever end.

Repair electrical allow proper idling then remove battery for 15 min for computer diagnostics of changes repeat until proper idle. Replace battery if not correct OEM replacement or load damage.

My 1982 Suzuki GS450T starts and idles, but won't rev. (with no air filter). Needs throttle adj. Or carb rebuild?

Carbs will probably need cleaning out. Modern fuel goes off and blocks jets.

Why do i not have spark ?

Mike you say you ran down the wiring and the ignition was not touched.Correct? The coils generate spark but you need a source to draw from. Check your stator to make sure it is not fielded(Grounded) with a bad wire.Battery up to par. CDI box or points and condenser check out. All of these will cause no spark to be generated .Spark Plugs check? before you replace the CDI box rule everything else first. Fuses for ignition will also not allow spark.Kill switch grounded out. Ignition switch ok. Check the flow of continuity .Coils should register between 0.5 and 0.4 . 4.0 is bad. repair manual is a must for this . Libiary is a good place to find 1

I have loose rubber tubes on my 1982 Suzuki GS 650 GL adn they are comming from the Carb on one side and have a screw on the other side any ideas

1. To correctly fix this the carbs will have to be removed from the rubber spigots completely and moved out of the way.2. finish unscrewing the loosened screws and remove the rubber spigots and make sure to note which way they go so that they can be put back on the same way.3. clean the back of the rubber spigots with laquer thinner or acetone and let dry for a few minutes. Also clean the head surface that the spigot attaches to.4. apply a thin layer of gasket maker rtv or other suitable rtv to the back of the spigots and tighten them back down to the head.5. wipe the extra rtv from inside and outside of the rubber spigot where it comes out of the mating surfaces.Re-attache the carb and adjust the idle if needed. If the rubber spigots are not sealed and tightened down, they can cause varying idle, popping throught the intake and exhaust pipe, hard starting, and bogging

Yes i have a 1982

Hi , start by putting the byke on its central stand or other device, in order to get rear wheel on the air
engage on 4th or 5th gear and try turn the engine by turning the wheel (better without sparkplugs)
if it turns ok without noticeble strange noises, then put the sparkplug back and try ( ask a friend for help) to push it dow the road in 2nd gear
at this point i'm assuming that everything else has been checked (petrol, spark oil level, etc)
good luck,
