TOOL Ignition Points gap should be 0.35mm (0.014) (rumor, sorry not buying you book for you) that is the MAG /POINTS base plate, special tool to get flywheel off. and not wreck it.

check and test fuses--battery--connections

Your float in your carburator is stuck closed due to old gas or if your bike is fuel injected then it is likely clogged fuel injectors. Check you spark plug for spark first and if all is good, start working on cleaning the fuel system. Best Regards, Kevin

Every vehicle has 10-15 years of life and after 10 to 15 years they have zero value that means it cant be sold with a good amount neither can work after these years.

Remove the carb and clean the pilot jet. Hold it up to the light to make sure you can see through it before re-installing it.

1986 is wrong for GS650MD Katana\ 1981-83 max. the vin on the steering had has year there. bingo. when i shut off my 2002 suzuki motorcyle it run perfect then went to start i and have no power battery good have no light on dash no head light brrake light everything is dead what could be wrong can you help with a idea thank you dave

What do you mean by 'running? Holding the run button down continuously means you are running it on the starter motor alone. Not a good idea. This will burn out the starter motor if you keep doing it. A simple rule here is if you are not sure what you are doing pay a good mechanic to do it. Try going back to basics. An engine needs 3 things to run. Fuel, Air and Spark. Check there is fuel in the tank. Yes, i've done that! Next check the throttle links. if it is a cable setup, with the ignition Off, twist the grip on and off and see if it moves on the throttle body/carburettor end. Open the air box cover and check the filter is clean and dry. If in doubt replace it. The next bit needs a bit more work. pull off the spark plug lead at the engine end. Turn on the ignition and crank the engine for no more than 2 seconds. Turn the bike OFF. Remove the spark plug and smell it. Your checking to see if it smells of fuel. You will probably need a proper Spark Plug socket to do it, they are usually cheap to buy. Push the spark plug into the spark plug lead and rest it on the engine where you can see the sparking end. Again crank the engine for 2 seconds and watch the spark plug. you should get a regular clear blue spark. If you are in any doubt replace it. When refitting the spark plug install it with your fingers until it tightens then tighten to about 25 Nm (18ft/lb). If you don't have a torque wrench turn it with a socket and wrench until you feel it just start to tighten then stop. DO NOT over tighten as the threads will strip out and that becomes an expensive fix. Comment below with any more information and I'll see if I can help you more.

Does it do this when stopped and at idle, only when moving or both? This is possibly a wheel or brake issue. Get all of the wheels inspected for damage and if they are rolling straight and true. Next get the brake calipers checked. If it has been stood for a long time the caliper pistons, brake discs and brake pads can become corroded and not operate smoothly. If the vibration is when stationary and at idle it could be something as simple as it hasn't been serviced for a long time. Another reason could be an engine misfire or a worn engine mount.
