Removing front wheel of 1999 BMW r 1200 c

Remove wheel, Remove axle nut(32mm), loosen tie rod nut & lightly hammer out tie rod to remove(with nut at end of thread) to avoid thread damage. Do the same with lower ball joint & use a "pickle fork" to seperate the ball joint. Knock in the axle & use a block of wood to keep from damaging the axle end in order to seperate the axle from hub & bearing assembly. Bolts that hold on the hub & bearing assembly are held on from the inside(4). Would be a good idea to either use heat(torche) to help with removal or a good penetrating fluid.

Hi just bought a BMW C R 1200, being standing for long , last had service 300km ago. Think could be petrol, how would i drain. thanks Len.

When you are going to leave any vehicle sitting or standing for extended periods of time you should always drain the gas, as gas gets very funky over time. Although this may not be the problem. If you just bought the bike and it hasnt run since you bought it, I would have a mechanic look at both the engine and all of the electrical work.

Need to set idle on

You can set the idle throttle body sync, but not the idle speed.

To set the sync, you need to have a Twinmax or other type of vacuume guage which allows you to compare two vacuume sources. There are test ports on the plastic intake tubes near the cylinder heads. remove the rubber covers and connect your guage to each cylinder. start engine and compare the readings.... engine must be fully warmed up. If readings are not the same, there is an adjustment on the back of the airbox. Easiest to adjust with a ball end metric hex key with the seat removed.

Good Luck!

Fuse for the headlights for 650 BMW 2008

On a 2008 BMW 650i, the fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood. The specific fuse you need is Fuse #61, which is a 20-amp fuse located in the third row of fuses from the top. To access the fuse box, open the hood and locate the black plastic cover on the right side of the engine bay. There should be a diagram on the underside of the cover showing the layout of the fuses. Once you've found the correct fuse, you can use a fuse puller or a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove it from the fuse box. It's always a good idea to check the owner's manual for your specific vehicle to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on the location and function of the various fuses.

My 2003 BMW R1150RT won't start after it overheated, what would the problem be?

It depends on how hot it got and for how long? Holes in the pistons under the spark plugs. Burnt Exhaust Valves. Stuck Valves. First thing to do is to remove and visually inspect the spark plugs and then test for compression. Interesting reviews and on mentions burnt valves. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/bmw/r1150rt/2001/ ..
