have known the metal around the spark plug caps short out when wet...because when motor is idling KV is up and spark is more intense so will travel to the shortest way to earth and that is the motor and not the plugs

Easy job, but you need to take a few bits apart-
1. Remove the screen
2. Remove the silver plastic cover above the clocks (torx screws, should be in the tool kit)
3. With a little fiddling, you should now be able to get to the lamps at the back of the consul.

Battery is located under rear of gas tank. You have to remove gas tank completely or at least unbolt the tank and prop it up to gain access to the battery.

If you remove the tank completely, you need to disconnect the fuel lines (quick connectors) and also disconnect the crossover pipe at the lower front of the gas tank. This line also has a quick connect fitting on it and has to be pulled out to the left side once disconnected. Pay close attention to the vent hoses and where they connect to the vapor recovery canister. If you reverse the hoses, you can ruin the recovery canister.

sounds like the battery is not putting out 14.2 volts. Taht what the ABS needs to activate and remain charged

Problem with alloys they have a hard time excepting paint. You need a good acid etch then primer and top coat. FinishMaster stores carry all of the stuff u need. Upol has great acid etch and primers, any good semi gloss paint over top will work

I had this problem, hold down the ABS button for 10 seconds and this will reset the abs, if the light is still on a sensor is down on the abs

I had this problem and it was the hall effect sensors, I change leads, plugs and even a new coil and in the end it was these sensors you. I got mine fro tamboki4sensors.eu

take out con rods and check big ends i gess there now burt out though, if the oil pump packed up when you were riding it and you kept riding it its now a full engine rebuild, i gess this is were the iron filings come from or its from a piston tearing up and the rings have been ground up and forsed into the sump eather way its a big job now

NOT REALLY SURE I UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM HERE, THE ABS LIGHT SHOULD ONLY BE ON UNDER TWO SETS OF CIRCUMSTANCES, ONE THE SYSTEM IS ACTIVELY CONTROLLING A BRAKE LOCK UP, THE OTHER A FAULT EXISTS IN THE SYSTEM, IN THAT CASE THE LIGHT WILL REMAIN ON AND THE ABS WILL BE DISABLED BY THE CONTROL MODULE, THE ABS CONTROL MODULE HAS SELF TEST CAPABILITIES, THE FOLKS AT BMW CAN HOOK UP A TESTER AND DIAGNOSE THE SYSTEM FOR ANY FAULT'S, WHATEVER IS GOING ON HERE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FILLING THE TANK WITH GASOLINE.

if you are saying you have piston slap, you could have the cylinders bored and have oversized pistons installed, this will be cheaper than new cylenders, and just as good.
