It is right under the front part of the gas tank. They share the mounting bracket bolt that are also used to mount the front of the gas tank.

Changing spark plugs will not affect compression unless you put in the wrong reach plug and it hit and damaged a piston. Sounds more like stuck valves, bent pushrods, broken rockers, or cam drive problems.

First need to decide if it is a 2000 or a 2002 and what model ie c or s 2000 likely 2001 and 2002 YES

Does the bike stat and run??? Check the lighting fuse.

Start by removing the brake pedal and clean/apply fresh grease to the shaft it pivots on. Grease or oil all pivot joints in linkage.

That little black box (about an 1" square by about 1 1/2" high) that's clicking is (probably) the "starter relay", and they do go out over time. Luckily, it's only about a $10-15 part.

All you can do is try it. If it starts it may run a little ruff but after running out mot of the gas and putting in new it should run just fine after that. If it does not start then you may have to drain the old gas and put in new.

Are you running a carb? If so then check to make sure the choke is fully off, also check to make sure that the vent hose from the carb isn't blocked, and also check your gas tank cap. The easy way to do this is to crack it open like you are going to take it off but just enough so that there is no restriction of air into the gas tank. Leave the cap on the tank. Start it and see what she does. Sometimes what acts like flooding out is actually fuel starvation Also, how old is the gasoline that you are using? If it's over a month old drain it and put in fresh. Has your bike sat without running for some time? If yes then the carb could be junky and need cleaning. Have you put any aftermarket parts on it? If you have changed the exhaust pipes, the carb needs to be tuned to the new pipes and if you went to a K & N style airfilter that is going to mean carb tuning as well. Another thing is to check for vacuum leaks on the back side of the carb to intake manifold, and intake manifold to the heads. Spray bottle with water will cause the engine to react with either a increase in RPM or a decrease in RPM at idle If anybody has been into the carb then you may have an internal vacuum leak in the carb itself. Check all the simple stuff first and go from there.
