No/weak spark rear cylinder. new coil, plugs, wires. bike ran well for couple of days.

What do you mean/ How did you test no spark and weak spark? Does the bike run at all now. What history of the bike leads up to the present problems. Confirm that it is a 2003 DYNA. There is still a front and a rear plug wire even though wasted spark ignition but exhaust stroke spark is weaker than power stroke spark so do not have plug wires mixed up. Spark has nothing to do with air/fuel ratio so you have more than one problem from your information. What is cvp? what jets size do you have in the carb? Do you have only a stage one breather or a full stage one including exhaust?? How long does the enrichener have to stay on? How does it idle and how id its running performance with and without the enrichener on and how far on do you leave it etc? Please post a comment with additional information and ALSO if you find the answer so others will share in your new knowledge etc.

SPEEDOMETER DIGITAL MILAGE READ OUT GOING ON AND OFF. BLINKERS WON'T CANCEL ON THERE OWN

The voltage regulator has failed if the voltage EVER rises above about 15.5 VDC. Surface voltage should not be as high as 13 VDC unless maybe the bike has JUST been shut off and then it should bleed down into the high 12's after about an hour of sitting. The signal self cancellation is tied to the speedometer and the TSM/TSSM and so if one fails it will affect the other as far as signal self cancellation is concerned.

How do you check a crankshaft position sensor ?

Not ohms testing because it is a hall effect switch/generator, pull it out and see if any metal chips etc on it and clean them off it there is. Otherwise the easiest is to try a known good CKP. Otherwise if you have one Put an oscilloscope on the sensor leads and spin the engine. You should see a pulse coming from the sensor. Otherwise The CKP sensor has a B+ power supply, a ground, and a signal circuit. As the crankshaft rotates, the wheel teeth interrupt a magnetic field produced by a magnet within the sensor. The sensor's internal circuitry detects this and produces a signal which the ECM reads. The ECM uses this signal to accurately measure crankshaft velocity which is a variable used in order to detect misfire, spark and, fueling. Looking at your service manual find the wire that goes to the B+ Measure from this wire to ground for the DC supply voltage. Measurement should be taken on the sensor side of the connector. Ground connection as well. On my Dyna this wire is marked BK for Black. Do this test at rest and with the engine spinning. A loose connection could break as the motor shakes. If you have voltage present with the key on and with the engine spinning move the positive meter lead to the Signal wire. This is marked R for Red on my Dyna. With the engine spinning you should see a voltage signal on that wire. You should measure the signal at the sensor connector and the ecm to verify it is reaching the brain.

How to check charging

If your battery is not good even though you might get a surface charge that is okay it will likely not charge sufficiently to operate the starter and other electrical systems of the bike. The connection where the alternator stator wires plug into the regulator could be corroded/dirty and need to be cleaned and sprayed with electrical contact cleaner and protected with dielectric grease because corroded wires going to the battery or alternator from the stator or the regulator will affect the ability of the charging system to properly charge a battery. Initially check the voltage with a voltmeter across the battery posts at about 2000 rpm. If it is between about 14.3 and 15 VDC it is charging okay If it is above 15 VDC you have an overcharging problem which is not being properly controlled by the regulator. If it is charging at less than that you could check the regulator ground first by running a wire from the regulator frame or body directly to the battery negative post and if that does not increase the charging voltage then the ground is okay so next you could check the stator integrity. To check the STATOR. Turn ignition key switch OFF, then disconnect the voltage regulator connector from alternator stator wiring. THEN connect an ohmmeter set on the RX1 scale with one lead into either of the stator sockets and the other lead to a good ground. And test for continuity - a good stator will show no continuity (0 ohms) across either stator socket - any other reading indicates a grounded stator which must be replaced. THEN remove the ground lead and insert lead it into the other stator socket - the resistance (with ohmmeter still set on the RX1 scale)should be 0.1-0.2 ohms - if the resistance is lower a stator short is indicated. Which means that the stator is damaged and must be replaced. - if the resistance is higher (OL on meter), an open is indicated and again, the stator is damaged and must be replaced. You should check socket 1 to 2 then 1 to 3 then 2 to 3. Before testing short out the ohmmeter leads against each other and if they do not produce a reading of0 ohms subtract the reading you do get from any readings you get doing the stator checks in order to get accurate stator circuit readings, otherwise you may have out of range reading due to the internal and/or lead resistance of the ohmmeter.

Spark plug gap, 2004 harley davidson super glide

Check electrode gap with a wire-type feeler gauge. Bend the outside of the electrode so that only a slight drag is felt on the gauge as it passes between the electrodes. The proper gap measurement for HD plug is 0.038-0.043 in. (0.97-1.09 mm).
